Really must add you to my New Year Filter List Duster... one of the most annoying posters ever on here ever... IMO of course! :) And that's a compliment... those of us who've been in AST for a loonnngggg time have seen plenty of them, I can assure you. Still, they do come... and GO... eventually!! GL to all holders in 2019, may it be a successful one.

Interesting mention of White matter.. the Lord of Darkness.. his one overriding view was that the permits were going to be the making of AST as a company.. he was right on that score.. look where we are now!! Damn shame.

A few more today, at 0.314... am I mad... probably; would I get cheaper... possibly! However, I do believe that things could get better for us in 2019. Either with permits, or through the courts. Have to write off 2018 as year of first gas, but disappointing outcome from it, due primarily (IMO) to the Slovenians!! See if 2019 is better... or not! :) GLA.

I'm guessing... people think that with declining income from the wells, they will eventually dry up and there won't be enough coppers in the kitty to keep it all ticking over, until the court result? I'm not too sure... I did mention this to Colin, in my mail earlier this week... about the wells, to which he stated (quote)

"There would be ways to prolong the productive life of the wells without a permit by having another attempt to resolve Pg-11A issues and installing compression equipment for Pg-10."

So, not sure how much this would cost as such...

Agreed New_2... on both counts... the Slovenian situation, and getting the legal case started... I mean, first or second week of January, let's get filing those legal papers. You never know, that MIGHT prompt the Slovenian's into some action in it's own right... the permits might just miraculously appear?? :) I'm an optimist...

We'll probably never know Reso's true motivations... he's Slovenian, so maybe he's a tree-hugging environmentalist, like JL, who's purely interested in saving the planet? I doubt it... but it could be true! He certainly wants to laugh at AST/us when this fails, he craves that adulation of being right. Let's hope we manage to prove him (and others) wrong, and 2019 is a good year after all for AST and us LTH's!! :) GLA.

Looks like the no-win/no-fee route... so won't cost us much... hopefully!! :)

There are litigation finance firms who get involved in cases like this. If we have to proceed down this route, that would be the sensible way to do it.

Does the wait last until they say Enough is Enough, and start legal proceedings? I mean, if it hasn't arrived in the next month, we can presume it's not going to I guess? I'd back a legal fight, and as CH says today, if we win, the results for us could be well in excess of our Mkt Cap!! It's a gamble, but I like a gamble... hence I invest in AIM!! :) GLA.

Colin again today... got a reply straight away, so he's still available to respond. Nothing really new of course, just waiting for permits, or ready to take legal action. No idea how long that will take, nor how much it will cost... but I guess it might be the only recourse left open, if we don't get any permits! He still holds out hope, but surely must be fading if we don't receive any early next year!! Wonder if they will relent and issue them soon? Who knows... GLA.

Wouldn't that upset the Ruskies, if they buy that gas field from us... they might be irked... at Slovenia doing something on it's own and having some independence!! We know how much Slovenia doesn't like to upset Mother Russia... would be nice though, nice thought.
