Manifesto - "The Paid Squad are on overtime....!!"

Have you ever tried to calculate what it would cost to orchestrate an effort to influence investors on here, and compared it to how much 'they' would actually stand to gain? Because if you did you'd see it's just another idiotic conspiracy theory.

Isn't that information out of date? I thought Citadel closed its short last month.

Has anyone here just worked that out?

I suspect all those vaccine trials (Pfizer's, Novavax's etc) were only observer-blinded so that they could announce the results without compromising the rest of the trial.

If it was THIS Novavax trial whose results were unveiled in January 2021, it was OBSERVER-blinded according to the trial record.

Dilution isn't a problem if a company's making progress and its market cap is increasing.

I'd rather have 1% of a billion pound company than 50% of a million pound company.

Sorry, you're right. I meant anybody with access to the trial patients.

I think we all know that a double-blind trial means that none of the patients or the healthcare workers who treat them can know the results while the trial is ongoing, right?

Is there anyone on here who still doesn't know that?

I'm not going through all of them. But the first one I looked at, the Pfizer BioNTech vaccine, was an OBSERVER-blind trial - [Link below]. That means the patients knew whether they were getting placebo or vaccine. So their trial is not comparable to a double-blind trial where our conversation is concerned.

So I still think it should be obvious the results of our double-blind trial won't be revealed while the trial is ongoing.

Did any of them release it while the trials were ongoing? I'll be honest, I'm not entirely sure but I seem to remember AstraZeneca ending the trial early because they had enough positive data for approval. Not sure about the rest.

He's not going to waste time holding hands of shareholders who don't really know how the well-established scientific method works, yet invest in a drug development company anyway.

Some people have confused "early 2022" with "the start of 2022".

You expect scientists to have to explain to you that they will only release their results when their experiment or trial is completed? Haven't they got more important things to do?

It kind of goes without saying.

They don't explain to us how we can buy or sell shares either. We should be able to work out some things for ourselves.

It's ambiguous, but I think that was referring to Parexel reporting the results to Synairgen.

"Synairgen will continue to work on the SPRINTER study with Parexel Biotech, a division of the leading global clinical research organisation, Parexel. Day 35 data will be reported in the first instance followed by the long COVID results which will be collected until Day 90."

I like to think I would have realised the implications if I'd paid more attention to the reference to the 90-day follow-up. It would explain why Citadel felt confident in opening a short until mid-Jan, and why we haven't seen money being moved back into this share yet. I'd been expecting it since the start of the year.

If I'm right I expect us to be above 220p by the end of next week, and possibly well on the way to 250p before the results are out soon after.

That's right. And Tuesday is the last possible day of the 90-day period.

I didn't read the study record thoroughly enough to pick up on the 90-day duration. But it's a double-blind study, so the last thing they'll want is to bias the patients' responses by making some of the data public while the trial is ongoing.
