Rainbow Rare Earths Phalaborwa project shaping up to be one of the lowest cost producers globally. Watch the video here.
Not sure. But if we don't get one today then either the answer is "yes" or they haven't changed their position, which would be surprising.
cmww2014 - "What possible reason can you think of for Poly notifying today."
I answered this in the other thread. But here it is again:
"Their most recent RNSes show that they issue a TR1 the day after crossing the 1% threshold. 85m shares were traded yesterday. So if 2m or more were theirs then we should be notified today, right?"
cmww2014 - "HSD why would they reveal that today ? When have polygon ever notified ahead of the deadline?"
What deadline?
Their most recent RNSes show that they issue a TR1 the days after crossing the 1% threshold. 85m shares were traded yesterday. So if 2m or more were theirs then we should be notified today, right?
Fruitsnveg - " If the Polygon buying rumour is true..."
I'd be interested to know where that rumour started. I mentioned it yesterday morning as a very slim possibility but I was just thinking out loud. Either way, we should get an RNS from them today to let us know whether they're buying or selling.
carsgeek - "Why did they put jobs up in the first place?"
Numis had a broker's note out this morning within minutes of the results being announced. I'm guessing they had two prepared: one for good results, one for bad. Synairgen probably took the same approach by preparing for both outcomes, which was the sensible thing to do.
Docdaneeka - "RM needs to do what SAB did and publish the Activ-2 P2 data now. "
They don't even have it yet. This morning's RNS made that clear.
"In the meantime, we eagerly await the Phase 2 data from the US NIH ACTIV-2 trial..."

I think the WHO told them the endpoints they would be looking for. But I also think it's the statistical significance level that's problem. The results are good, but the significance level suggests those patients might have just been lucky. It's above 0.5 and needs to be below 0.05 to prove that it's the drug that brought about the improvement.
As always, double-check that yourself as I could be mistaken.
Progression to severe disease or death within 35 days:
Placebo = 14.7%
SNG001 + SOC = 10.7%
...and a 16% reduction in death. That looks like a good result to me. Even the median number of days in hospital are shorter. Is it just the statistical significance where it stumbles again?
billywild - "Do I know sell? Or keep my shares? Awaiting on further trials? "
Nobody knows what's going to happen. Polygon had £70m worth of shares on Friday and today they're worth around £12m. If they couldn't predict the future, we definitely can't.
But I wouldn't rule out the possibility that they'll take over the company for considerably less than they've already put in. The market cap is little more than half the cash they have in the bank and there's still more trial data to follow. Although this trial didn't prove the drug's effectiveness, that doesn't necessarily mean it's ineffective.
Doc83 - "I thought I was buying into a trial to see if SNG001 worked or not? Not whether SNG001 + Corticosteroids, and whatever else, worked. "
They're not going to jeopardise patient health by denying them proven drugs just to test an unproven one. You should've been able to work that out for yourself.
Changing the topic, how soon should we expect to see TR1s if Polygon is offloading?
That's supposed to say 'emotionally invested'.
LSE edited it because I used italics on 'emotionally'.
Does anyone know why T.Rat is so ?????????????????????? invested in this company?
It comes across as irrational and ill-judged, so I'm wondering what's behind it.
Slightly off-topic, but don't Source Bioscience manufacture and sell interferon beta?
There were suggestions they would be at the meeting Synairgen is rumoured to have tomorrow at the Southampton Harbour Hotel, and I'm not entirely ready to dismiss that as false.
Manifesto - "He is quoting another poster....Akbar"
How do you know Akbar is another poster and not the "reliable source" he's quoting?
Wasn't that the the same guy said (on 23rd December 2021):
"Results are being released on January the 10th. 07:00 RNS. These guys pay a lot of money for this sketchy info and it?s normally bang on. You heard it here first."

Chesh - "Gerry confirmed that we (DVRG) are the only company participating in the trial"
Thanks, I wasn't aware of that. If it turns into a sizeable order we'll finally have some good news then.
T.Rat - "Readers can follow the links provided and reach their own conclusions."
...as long as they conclude everything's fine, in spite of all evidence to the contrary.
T.Rat - "But on this occasion I'm not going to bother showing the idiocy of your post"
You're going to spend all day on here anyway. So if you disagree with what I wrote you might as well exaplin why.
The World Health Organization (WHO) declares a pandemic when a disease’s growth is exponential.
An endemic is a disease outbreak that is consistently present but limited to a particular region. Now that Covid is everywhere, we might as well call it an endemic and just ignore the daily death figures. Party round at Boris' this evening, guys. Byob.

T.Rat - "you can have them read and explain the below linked RNS to you"
I'll explain it.
The company's biggest achievement in the past year has been securing a place on a government trial worth £0.48 million. I assume that's worth up to £150k after costs and there's no guarantee it will lead to any further orders. If not, the company's pinning its hopes on a beauty service it struggles to give away and a medical device the CEO seems to want everyone to forget about.
