How do you conclude that I was comparing a single share? I clearly stated "UK Banks" which is a sector.

Casapinos, thanks for your reply. Seems to me this last few trading sessions it is only on the down days that the SP moves in accordance with its BETA ranking, it certainly hasn't on the up days.

Yes I am new to investing, anyone looking at my brief posting history can see that, and I don't deny that. I post my opinion as I see it, like many others on here. I have a large position here which I am holding for long term and I like you think in a year we will be in a far better place.

Well given the FTSE 100 is down 0.88%, Lloyds nearly down nearly double the market fall, and the other UK Banks more than double the market fall. In my opinion if a share falls double what the market has fallen it has taken a beating. Each to their own.

the SP is doing well...........well until the DOW opened anyway. And the DOW has opened 143pts down so all the world markets follow like lemmings jumping of the cliff!

RMG share price 123p to 577p and you say share price is irrelevant! LMFAO!

Who are you really? I am very sceptical when apparently "new" posters to this bb with no previous posting history at all, all of a sudden show up out of the blue preaching doom and gloom!

After the US Federal Reserve removed all restrictions regarding dividends and share buy backs from American Financial stocks on Thursday I was expecting that UK Financial stocks would have had a good bounce on Friday in anticipation that the PRA would do the same in July for UK stocks. Hopefully this will give some impetus to UK Banks SP to jump in anticipation this week?

There are two catalysts to get the SP over 50p. First we need clarity on dividends from PRA. All being well and the PRA lift the restrictions we then have to see what Lloyds half year report says or does not say. Good report with decent dividend then we should see a decent rise. Same for the other banks as well.

I think the DOW will decide the winner!

Falklands predictions have been very close. The derampers on this board have been way out! In my eyes Falkland has a lot more credibility than the derampers of this board!

Looks like the FTSE is going to trade flat until closer to US Market opening. It will then fall in line with the DOW and follow it up or down.

DOW up 1% at close. Asian markets currently on good gains. If Lloyds cannot manage a decent rise today its going to be a long 5 weeks to half year results!

80 million sold and 27 million bought, so volume 100 million. Not much volume traded considering 71 billon shares in issue?
