What Caribbean Island you of to?

No decision from PRA so far. Banks next updates 28th July Barclays, 29th July Lloyds, 30th July Natwest Group and 2nd August HSBC, and expectation is that the PRA will announce it's updated guidance before these dates to allow the Banks to confirm dividend policies/cash returns to share holders with their updates.

Is it going to be a holiday holiday or a busmans holiday LOL

DOW futures are pretty flat just now so see what happens in run up to Wall Street opening today, and after opening.

DOW Futures about an hour ago were down 40pts, but now down 22pts so slowly coming up.

Don't get me wrong, I hope you are right as I have a large share holding here. But I think most analysts are suggesting total dividend for current year around 1.9p and maybe a possible special dividend as well along the way?

Quarterly dividend of 0.75p gives total dividend of 3p which gives a yield of 6.315% at current SP. Think you are optimistic with that.

Thanks for reply. Just seemed strange to me, to suddenly for all the banks to suddenly drop at 14:30 suggested to me it was a reaction to something?

If that was the case it would have opened a lot lower this morning and retreated quickly. DOW opened up and is still up. FTSE currently just negative. So what happened at 14:30 for all the banks to quickly fall to current levels? Has there been any news release at 14:30 to justify this sudden drop of the banks?

I would certainly endorse introduction of quarterly dividends. But I just don't get share consolidation? The value of anyone's shareholding will be the same after as before? Other than artificially inflating the share price are there any obvious benefits to share holders of doing this that I am not aware of??
