There has been no mention from Lloyds regarding reinstating quarterly dividends, so everybody is expecting that this year will be an interim and final dividend, and maybe Lloyds announcing at full year results about going to quarterly dividends for year 2022. But aside from that, your guess at 72p for total dividend for year would give a dividend yield at current SP of 160%.

Interim dividend is NORMALLY a third of total dividend for year I believe, so final SHOULD be 2 x interim, am I correct?

DOW is going to drag this sub 43p this afternoon

DOW Futures were up 220 pts an hour ago but have now come down to up 130 pts. Looks like the DOW Futures starting to slide was the catalyst for FTSE coming of highs and banks dropping.

You have obviously been to Orkney before and you are correct in what you say. I would never leave Orkney, the quality of life in Orkney and Shetland is second to none!

I have lived in Orkney since 1977. I am married to an Orkney lass, and I have 2 children, born and brought up in Orkney, and now have 3 grandchildren. I worked for several years in the fishing industry on Orkney fishing vessels fishing in the waters of Orkney and Shetland, frequently calling into Scalloway and Lerwick (you will probably have to go to Google maps to see where Scalloway and Lerwick are). So I can categorically say I am a lot more worldly wise than you are on life in Orkney and Shetland and attitudes to SNP than you are. LMFAO!

As ever, and you are well noted for it, when you are losing the argument, putting your own twisted spin on to a debate to convince yourself you are right!
Couple of points I would like to go back to in some of your previous posts:
You say you were forced to sing this ALLEGED verse at school? And this was a Scottish school.....LOL!
You also questioned QE 2, saying there was never a QE 1. Well there was a QE 1 who reigned from 7 September 1533 – 24 March 1603. She had her cousin, Mary Queen of Scots beheaded for treason!

My point is, the ALLEDGED 6th verse is NOT part of the Official National Anthem, what don't you understand about that?! Please note I use the word ALLEDGED; all evidence of this 6th verse is purely anecdotal and rumour, dating back to 1745. I have never ever heard it sung at ANY event. And whether you like it or not, God Save the Queen is the official National Anthem of Great Britain of which Scotland is a part, and always will be! And Scotland is NOT mentioned in the OFFICIAL National Anthem, it only refers to Britain!

I have already said that before I posted my original post I did a google search for the lyrics to God Save the Queen, and NONE of the results gave the verse you have posted. So how do you construe that to be telling lies? And then you go on to say "Scotland will never, and should never, have Flower of Scotland as our national anthem - it is reserved for sport and one opponent in particular." LOL! If as you say it should NEVER EVER be the Scottish National Anthem, then why should it be OK to sung on ONLY on sporting occasion's and one opponent in particular? My you do contradict yourself at the same time as confirming to everyone you are blatantly anti English.

My understanding of the lyrics to the National Anthem is that it is the "British" National Anthem. No where in the lyrics does it mention England, but it does refer to Britain. And as for being "deeply antagonistic to the Scots", no where in the lyrics does it mention Scotland so how can it be deemed to be deeply antagonistic to the Scots?
