Just curious, what was your source of information for this?

................to half year results. It's going to be a long 9 days! With all the positive news already out, and expected on the 29th, the SP should at this point be 50p minimum. How much more manipulation of SP can the "city wide boys" get away with between now and the 29th?

Can we draw any conclusions from survey results where the demographic group that have been surveyed are probably naive to say the least about fiscal reality?

Classic example in case that this is never going to happen in reality is Neil Woodford! What have the FCA done to help the investors who lost most of their savings! But they have no problem fining Lloyds 90 million for misleading letters!

IMO, the only way the deferred dividend could be paid only to those who owned the shares at the time the dividend was declared would have been for that amount to have been "ring fenced" and taken of the company balance sheet when the dividend was deferred. This was not done. So those who sold their holding after the dividend was deferred have no claim, as the SP is a function of the Company Balance Sheet on the day of purchase, so those buying are entitled to assets on the Balance Sheet at the time of purchase. I hope this makes sense.

Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan Chase earnings update both beat analysts forecasts but both are down 2%? Seems inflation woes are spooking the markets again. Most people think that rising inflation and rising interest rates will be good for banks, so why do bank shares go down when inflation has increased?

Probably just no more than DOW Futures currently down slightly; expect FTSE and Lloyds will follow whatever direction the DOW goes when Wall Street opens.

In the States Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan release their half year updates today; Goldman Sachs at 7:30 AM (ET) which will be 12:30 BST, and JP Morgan at 8:30 AM (ET) which will be 13:30 BST. Good results here could give another turbo-charge to todays SP rise. Wells Fargo and Citigroup release their half year results tomorrow.

JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Citigroup and Wells Fargo half year results revealed today. Good results here should be a boost for UK Banks.

And I've just started drinky poohs now as well so have a good evening. I was just curious as you only appeared on this BB on 5th July with no previous posting history, yet say you have been invested since 2008?

Well if as you say you got some at 23.99, some at 32, and some at 38, how can the SP be to low to trade given current SP is 46.71?

The lowest the share price for Lloyds in 2008 was 61.33 on December 24th 2008?

You say you've held Lloyds since 2008; did you purchase your shares before or after the Financial crash?

You say just bought Barclays recently 103? What is your definition of recently? Last time Barclays SP was 103 was October 2020.
