Well if as you suggest Brits have no confidence in the UK economy what would the SP be if foreigners did not buy them? Seems foreigners have more confidence in the UK economy than Brits do which is supporting the SP.

So what if 66% of investors are foreign? They bought the shares legally on the open market.

Looking at reaction of the other banks SP which have all risen more than Lloyds it appears investors in these banks feel positive on the news?

Agree with some share buyback in principal as long as the shares are cancelled immediately; they should not be held in treasury to be used as future bonus awards to BOD!

Well it is now! Doing OK until Uncle Sam Markets opened, DOW opened initially up but has now gone into negative territory, and as normal FTSE falls in line and from a good rise up this afternoon to up 40 pts then fell in line with DOW and has closed down 16 pts, which has consequently dragged Lloyds of todays highs!

Falkland, I am very aware of the risks of spread betting and have no intention of dabbling. I am only invested in Lloyds long at average 49.2

Falkland, But this is all spread bet trading yes? So no stamp duty to pay when buying, correct?

DOW opened 100 pts down and as expected FTSE and horsey followed. DOW has since recovered and FTSE steadied but horsey has carried on south! Horsey needs to be put on a course of steroids!

Looks like horsey has gone lame today!

So much for the strong start expected for FTSA after DOW gaining more than 2%,the highest gain for 3 months! FTSE will now trade around current levels waiting to see what direction the DOW goes this afternoon, and then fall in line!

Lets hope horsey doesn't pull up at the last fence today!

Well the DOW has opened up 325 pts today. If it can maintain this without going down should give some impetus to FTSE and Lloyds this afternoon.
