Biden visiting Europe is not for him to help negotiate an end to the war, he just wants to push even more USA weapons and defences into Europe, using Russia's aggression as a basis for that.

If he wanted the war to end, and wanted to help effect that, he would be visiting Turkey and Israel and helping them to arrange direct talks with Putin and Zelensky.

3) An agreement written up and signed by both leaders
4) Withdrawal of all Russian troops from any parts of Ukraine that Ukraine will have left after the agreement

I think talks will start before Putin is willing to do a ceasefire, that is why I've put it second. Putin will want to keep pressure on Zelensky until he is sure that Zelensky is willing to make concessions and agree to Crimea and Donetsk being Russian. Once Putin is sure that those are in the bag he will immediately call the ceasefire.

It's always possible that the ceasefire could come first, but this is Putin we are talking about.

POLY dividends will be paid, because POLY is in no way restricted by sanctions, it has the money to pay the dividends, and it is operations continue pretty much unaffected by the Russia/Ukraine conflict.

It has no dodgy money being passed to Russia or anyone Russian, in fact it has no dodgy money at all, as it complies with ALL LSE and FCA listing regulations, hence NO sanctions apply to it, AND it can therefore pay it's dividends.

Sanctions cannot force the change of the leader of Russia, they didn't in Syria, they didn't in Iran, they didn't anywhere in fact, because the countries applying sanctions do so only to force a directional change from bad to OK, they are not there to force leadership change and neither can they be, so stop talking rubbish.

I work for a global FTSE100 bank, I know Sanctions inside out, I have to for my job.

What will happen is:

And none of the above has anything to do with POLY dividends being paid, because POLY is in no way restricted by sanctions, it has the money to pay the dividends, and it is operations continue pretty much unaffected by the Russia/Ukraine conflict.

You have to remember that Zelensky is a former actor (and comedian apparently!) and is doing a great performance, just like any politician really. I'm sure he'll get a standing ovation when the peace deal is signed, then he can go off and get billions in aid from everyone to rebuild the devastated Ukraine cities.

Washington (CNN)Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Sunday that he's "ready for negotiations" with Russian President Vladimir Putin but warned that if they fail "that would mean that this is a third World War."

"I'm ready for negotiations with him. I was ready for the last two years. And I think that without negotiations we cannot end this war," he told CNN's Fareed Zakaria.

"I think that we have to use any format, any chance in order to have a possibility of negotiating, possibility of talking to Putin. But if these attempts fail, that would mean that this is a third World War," he added.
