Absolutely. Like many on here (garmoan, dw, bondy aka junior, chippy, and many more) his post reflect his trading position.

Read any of their historic postings and you'll see:

Gone long = no posts at all or just no moans, maybe some backslapping of positive posts, possibly some positive posts of their own

Sold out and possibly got a short spread bet on = moaning every minute of the day about anything they can spin something negative about, backslapping of negative posts, attacking AB, attacking the bulls in any way they can, talking down positive posts including using misinformation to try any negate any positivity, creating their own negative posts.

He knows nothing, he's a just con man, a bit whoa, a bit whea, a bit of a geezer, makes up 95% of what he posts and then can't back any of it up when put under the spotlight. Vanishes for a few weeks then comes back and hopes everyone has forgotten his previous hundreds of failed cons, but some of remember A LOT.

Another claim of fact when it's not fact it is only his opinion. We hear that all the time right now from journalists/analysts with a fully working Crystal Ball, truth is that it is not fact and they do not know what will happen, nobody does.

I would rather look at what the leaders are saying and what is happening to end the war and work it out for myself, as I have no less of a chance of getting it right.

Broker rec's are never short term anyway, but the real point of my post is that despite the war and sanctions, those brokers have not dropped their advice to hold or sell, and only one has dropped it's target (clearly based on the current price and the ongoing war), and one has stopped coverage. I put this down to POLYs' legal claim that it is not majority owned or controlled by Russia or anyone from Russia.

500p target is fine for the time being. A ceasefire and peace deal and it's back to looking at £10+.

POLY have not advised that their Moscow listing has been ceased, so it must still be there.

Current price there is showing as 838.3 RUB which is £5.91

There has to be arbitrage in one direction or the other, despite sanctions preventing shares from crossing the border, as the company has to have one value not two, so either MOEX will be marked down to LSE level, or LSE will be marked up to MOEX level. Difficult to know which way the MM's in each country will go, but maybe it will actually end up in between, which would make LSE £2.95?

I guess it's possible that POLY could suspend trading there, to distance itself from Russia. It could say that once sanctions are lifted, all POLY stock listed on MOEX will be moved to LSE or somewhere else outside of Russia.

Somewhere else that POLY could move it's Russian listed stock to is Kazakhstan stock exchange, based on "Kazakhstan operations generated 43% of the Group's Adjusted EBITDA and 48% of its net earnings. Kazakhstan operations represent 40% (12 Moz) of Polymetal's gold equivalent reserves."

Despite the risks, Russia-focused investments have proved popular with retail investors
even as the war has taken a heavy human toll.

Major investors have called Russia "uninvestable", but DIY investors - many of whom took up stock-picking during the "stonks" trading frenzy in the pandemic - have been undeterred.

London-listed stocks of Russia-focused companies - including Abramovich's Evraz and gold and silver producer Polymetal (POLYP.L) - have recently leapt into the most bought stocks tables at several of Britain's largest investment platforms, according to a review of their websites by Reuters.

Polymetal was also one of the top 10 most bought stocks last week across the platforms reviewed by Reuters and was top of AJ Bell's list. The company is not subject to UK sanctions and its shares are still trading, although the stock was deleted from indexes by FTSE Russell on Monday after many brokers refused to trade its shares.

Polymetal, which has eight gold and silver mines in Russia and makes most of its revenues in the country, has said the situation in Ukraine is "horrifying and heartbreaking", and has called for a peaceful resolution.

Retail investors have become a bigger force in the markets in the past couple of years as more platforms have offered commission-free trading and stock-pickers have become more vocal on social media.

Online platforms are the fastest-growing part of the consumer investment industry in Britain, with newcomers much more likely to be younger or first-time investors.

That was a rather large uncrossing trade, quite unexpected really, as usually its much less volume.
