Thank you for acknowledging the accuracy of my calculations! I can understand that you're having trouble to believe that the placing will take place at 10p while current sp is 2p. And yet if the calculations are correct then it does look like that will be the case. (Disclosure: long, added today).

I challenged you to explain exactly where in my postings I showed that I didn't know what I was talking about. You chose not to answer. Could it be that you lack the knowledge, intelligence to do so? You like facts don't you? Well it's time to get confronted with a fact, with reality: you're a person of average intelligence at the best, you're full of hollow phrases and are incapable of having a discussion based on valid arguments. Currently Asto is valued at 5 million (250 million x 2p). Due to the financial reorginization: -the liability of 8 million concerning the preference shares doesn't exist any longer; -equity improves with 16 million due to the creditors agreement (payment 5 million for 21 million debt); -equity improves with 12.5 million because of the equity injection. In theory the value of asto should be: 5 +8 + 16 + 12.5 = 41.5 million Which would give a theoretical value of 100p for each new share (41.5/41 million shares) or 10p for every current share. I must say I'm somewhat surprised that this number (10p value) corresponds exactly with the value that the investors group seems to calculate with)!!!!! Conclusion: the theoretical value/sp should be 10p and not 2p !!!

Better than that as it would mean that the investors group in fact kept their word (placing price 10p based on old 1p shares).

RNS 25/7/2011: (...) If implemented, these proposals would involve material write downs for banking creditors and preference shareholders (...) Is it fair to say that material write downs can be read as approx 75%? Creditors will get 5 million for 21 million debt That would imply that in return for a 15 million investment in preferred shares can expect to get 3.75 million. As the preferred shareholders get 3.75 million new (10p) ordinary shares one can expect that one new (10p) ordinare share has a value of 1 GBP each. Today we've read that the investors group will invest 12.5 million. That would mean that equals 12.5 million new (10p) shares. Where will that leave us? Currently we hold shares of one penny each. There are 251 million shares of one penny each. As the new ordinary shares will be 10p each, the current 1p shares are converted into 10p shares. Current (old) shareholders will receive 25.1 million new shares. New 10p share capital: 3.75 million (for the preference shareholders) 12.5 million (for the new equity investors) 25.1 million (for the old 1p shareholders) In total over 41 million shares. If this is the outcome it looks fair to me. Any opinions? Cheers!

I'm not trying to be a wise #ss here, no offence intended. Trying to keep it simple. A lot of folks don't understand the company/group/consolidated sh#t. That's why they invest in shares under circumstances they do not comprehend lmao

The preference shareholders are in a different position then the creditors. In case of administration/liquidation the creditors will get something. If I've read the arrangement correctly the foreign contracts would no longer exist in that case. The Asto Abu Dhabi preference shareholders have little choice and yes, they might see some value in the Asto shares.

You're right looking at it from a company financial angle. I've looked at it from a group perspective and then the 10k remark-100 million group company debts adds not that much. It's allready complicated, let's keep it simple: the group pays 5 million and is releaved from 21 million debt. Do we agree on that?

probably consists of the UAE Abu Dhabi contracts c.q. joint venture. Administration/liquidation would blow up these contracts=> of no value. Creditors really have no choice but to agree.
