I'm wondering what expectations folks here have on the SP post ex dividend? Usually the SP would fall the amount of the divi (12p) but after that once the divi is secured, do you expect a rush for the door ?
The SP lately has been a little volatile but increasing steadily towards divi day. I don't imagine buyers today are buying just for the divi so maybe there are growth expectations in the near future. If well in profit today I wonder if taking that profit and foregoing the divi wouldn't be a good move. One can always buy back then if there is a bit of a sell off. Thoughts anyone?
The panic could well be over by the time JAY gets moving. Just how can it be taking so long to shovel this (ilmenite) up of the beach and sell it? We could have done more with a bucket and spade! It's pathetic that we are not yet in the market. Absolutely pathetic!!
Not surprising topsharepicks as JAY is yet to deliver any tangible progress and nothing significant is expected for another 2 years. Newsflow this year might see a temporary nudge up but until JAY actually makes some sales it's all in the ground and staying there. Money continues to be spent and when news eventually arrives about funding this will only be a temporary fillip until there's some real activity - sales. That's Dundas of course, As for other projects; years away!
Ca ne, there is no $4M cash, only 25K + 250K (leaving 3.25M) if all goes well with Metals One listing. The the balance 3.25M comes in the form of shares in Metals One at their future listing launch price. If Metals One SP goes South then so will that 3.25M. Wing and a prayer it seems!
Fair comments snip but I'd be amazed if you actually believe a brokers target. In fairness though that target might mean something if JAY were actually producing and selling but they're doing neither so the current ilmenite price is pointless.
Jay won't be selling anything for at least a year and more likely two given all the work they have to do with infrastructure etc..
Through gritted teeth I accept that the BoD are probably working to achieve a JV or some kind of partnership but the pace won't be dictated by JAY so we are in the hands of the big boys as I stated earlier.
Credibility counts in this game and JAY has not earned too much of that with their failed forecasts for several years. Not a track record to be happy with hence the current SP. The MM's need to see the colour of money and right now its translucent!
Whatever any of us might think about this "deal" its what the market makes of it and as per usual, we're marked down again. The news needed to actually enhance shareholder value continues to elude us and probably for much longer too. Potential joint venture parties such as RIO and AA are in no hurry to help us along; in fact they will be happy to see JAY struggle on into an ever weakening position. Our board seems inept at moving this along but when the "big boys" don't want to play what can JAY do or say? Nothing! Which is what they are doing!! Palming off this little entity that no one seems to have known about looks like a tidying up operation whilst waiting for a throw of the dice from a big player. JAY remains in hibernation for the remainder of this year at least.
Hey mozzie, chill out. You got your answer which was easy enough to get from a simple Google search if only you'd bothered. As for any impact on the JAY SP, the price mattets not. Maybe I mis-interpreted your question as somehow related to the current SP and not just a simple enquiry about the price of Illmenite. Shows how touchy some of us are over this damn company and its miserable performance v it's over stated promises.
Expect further retracement at the next 'good' news.
Does it really matter what the Ilmenite price is? There's little or no movement in Ilmenite prices. The share price of JAY is not reflecting any potential sales, in fact, IMHO its not reflecting very much at all! Reading posts on several boards everyone is hanging their hat on the exploitation license but although this has been 'green lighted' by the Greenland government in a recent address the market stolidly refuses to give it any credit. Amazing! So until there is a license followed by some sales we're stuck in someone's toy box as a plaything. With all the potential JAY has for ALL its projects and an exploitation license in all but name, the share price is silly and there must be a reason for this; it doesn't make sense.
So, the SP won't move on any Ilmenite pricing changes, it will only come into play when sales can be made if that ever happens.
Re. the JDP with Paragraf, is this a 50/50 arrangement to prove the use/ benefits of graphene on PV's after which VDTK would pay Paragraf to apply their process to the PV's which then VDTK would deliver to the market and reap their own rewards selling a top notch product?
What would stop any other PV manufacturers using Paragraf's technology to compete? Paraggraf aren't likely to be bound to VDTK are they?
We should maybe consider this company as clear competition. We are not the only show in town and these have products out there.

Soutie1974, you are not reading the 250k trade correctly; its a roll over not a new buy. If there was any news leak then there would be some serious trades - one way or the other - but the sp is stagnant and will stay that way until news is out. We can only hope the eventual news is positive; i.e. no more delays and progress to an exploitation license.
