Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
I still struggle to accept all is well given continued improvements in the area combined with the proven reserves whilst the sp shows no interest in reflecting this. I thought the market looked forward so I guess it's a cloudy picture just like the weather today. A meaningful RNS/ update is overdue. Waiting patiently and hoping for news soon.
Jimmy, heaven help us then if there should be some bad news! You say;
"The volume was not high enough to indicate some impending bad news".
I couldn't possibly challenge you on CHAR but on common sense, come on! Someone is pulling the strings here and it's pretty uncomfortable for CHAR and it's share holders.
I haven't seen it commented on here but there was a full page write up in last weeks Investors Chronicle that ended with a buy recommendation. Plenty of well presented information in the article that nullifies much of the chat here. Just sit and wait but that's OK for the more patient however, there's too many traders in this stock creating the volatility.
These calculations, fag packet as they are, are really irrelevant right now and will remain so until gas is pumped won't they?
It will be price at time of extraction that will have any meaning.
So many times with companies like CHAR, investors get ahead of themselves and the years it takes to bring anything to market put a cap on any SP gain.
I don't see that the market is asleep on Char, it is valuing it for what it is, a non producer (at the moment). There's a long way to go yet and this current pause is hopefully a consolidation period.
If Putin's rampage should show signs of easing and the west's pain proves too much then this will create a very different scenario. Let's hope there's some significant progress soon.
Ivroache, the same has been said about Dundas and they haven't shifted anything in years. JAY lives on name dropping, the latest of which are Kobold big names and CNN. Little or nothing materially coming from JAY. They have been very poor.
Expect the price to revert back to c.5p as the CNN comment changes nothing.
New entrants to JAY should set themselves for years before meaningful gains and should seriously consider trading this but shouldn't expect too much from that either as name droppings are few and far between!
Just accept it that shareholders are nothing but cash cows and directors will always ensure their own pockets are lined first. Shareholders will get their scraps as and when further progress is made in whatever timeframe it takes.
Some will say a lot has already been achieved and bod rewards have been earned. Maybe.
The enthusiasm and expectations are on this board and not coming from the Co. as yet. Let's hope the board delivers to shareholder expectations and if they do it will be on their terms 're. timescales.
Wouldn't a share consolidation help here? Reducing the horrendous number of shares in issue and raising the SP to cut out some of the day traders. There's too much liquidity and a too low price. Results tomorrow may see a spike up but doubtful it will hold. The algorithm trading rules!
Just my thoughts as am amateur.
Possibly a silly question but; if CHAR is as good as it is deemed to be and the expectations of the CPR come in anything like those expectations; how is it there is very little institutional interest or even serious director interest by way of share holdings? As with so many smaller companies offering disruptive breakthroughs isn't CHAR yet another one? The bull case being promoted here daily by us retail investors isn't replicated by the big boys who really matter. Why?
I do hold as I hold other "can't go wrong" companies whose SP (over years) has yet to match BB enthusiasm.
Here's hoping this will be different but ..... one day maybe!
Given the obvious that gas is THE hot topic for Europe right now, how is it the market (that supposedly looks forward) isn't rating CHAR significantly more than it is given what is already known/proven? If we have to wait for production and therefore earnings then we're a year or so away yet aren't we? Hopeful, not but not holding my breath.

Additionally, RR have this program that is moving forward nicely. Could also be a biggy for both wide and narrow bodied aircraft.
