March 19 (Reuters) - London based nuclear company Newcleo plans to raise 900 million pounds ($1.10 billion) to advance a plan to build a fleet of small nuclear reactors in the U.K., the Times reported.
Last week, the British start-up signed an agreement with Italy's biggest utility Enel (ENEI.MI) to work together on projects for providing safe and stable power.
Newcleo plans to design and construct the first-of-a-kind mini lead fast reactor to be deployed in France by 2030.
I can't see the banking issue has anything to do with the continuing decline in the SP. This has been falling for many weeks and if all was well it would have stabilised well above 14p. There is, in my opinion an obvious problem behind the scenes and the enthusiasm here is not warranted. No idea what it is but it's known to some hence constant selling/ marking down.
Sad really as it has all the signs of disappointment regardless of what has been proved up so far. Minnows in the big eyes of the big fish. When it's cheap enough it will go but at what price?
Just my opinion but having been in many would-be game changers in the past, char is on a familiar route.
Considering the lukewarm reaction to today's news, what can we expect when the following is achieved?
mminent key next steps
Chariot anticipates taking FID on Anchois in 1H23. The company is currently in detailed discussions with potential farm in partners and we understand that the process is competitive. Detailed discussions are also taking place with regards to gas contracts with ONHYM (60 mmcf/d) and European buyers (~40 mmcf/d
After all, when the above is achieved we still won't be producing anything just as we're not know?

Could help to push us up even more if these go well.
I haven't heard it said yet but I'm sure it's not new to everyone but those large trades were likely done over several days with the mm's working them as best they can for the buyer/seller and he doesn't have to report the trade until is filled. The mum's therefore work the bid/offer to his best advantage to close the deal and may do this over several days. Hence, tree shaking to accumulate stock to fill a buy order or to slowly drip feed stock to close out a seller. When the trade is reported it doesn't necessarily compare with the bid/offer on the day its reported.
At least that's my understanding. This allows the mm's to reduce volatility amongst other things.
Just my opinion so correct me if I'm wrong by Al means. As we can all see, these large trades haven't had any significant effect on the sp.
Klein, if and when char notify something that significantly enhances shareholder value I can always return but for now I'm protecting cash. When any very good news arrives the sp won't go up in a straight line, I can play catch up whilst I have the cash. Sure, I can miss out on the initial jump but if only half of what's predicted for char happens there will be plenty to come. Meanwhile, the risk of another fund raise is real regardless of what has been said.
For now it's just incredible that a major gas resource is seemingly being ignored in the market. If all was as well as expected the market should be all over this but it isn't. Maybe later and on proper good news I will have funds to return.
They will all very likely squeeze the life out of CHAR who have very little strength to argue with. Morocco pulls the strings. Char will (probably are), being squeezed dry! There doesn't appear to be any rush to capitalise on the resources identified. The SP says it all. Read the signs. They're negative! Strength diminishing daily and relying only on "rinse & spin" articles in IC who boast gains from low singl figures. Fine. If you were not an early bird on this stock you missed the boat, and if you are then you can help when the fundraising comes. Sadly, I'm out at yet another loss from an over prmißed big boy in short pants. Good luck to all.
Personally, I would prefer consolidation of where char is now rather than distractions like this. This opportunity will be there tomorrow so can be picked off later. For now, let's see some progress on the gas!
The boards time spent on this is a distraction from pressing on with anchois and feeding back to us shareholder's; long overdue! Who else could be in the frame for a desalination plant?
Meanwhile, value is disappearing with the continuing sp decline and without something more tangible it's set to continue. No news is not good news!
And Jimmy, therein lies the problem and a point that frazer is making, that you are regurgitating Chariot RNS releases and the credibility of these is in question as they are full of hopes and iff's and 'soon'!
Not sure if anyone here is familiar with a company called Bluejay Mining (JAY) but the similarities are striking where JAY have struggled for years to get moving yet have a confirmed world class resource!
If there had been any interest in a bid for CHAR something would have leaked, it always does.
How can CHAR have such a valuable resource, presumably not too difficult to extract yet so little interest? I think frazer is right; we're not seeing something those that matter can.
Thank you for your write ups all the same.
