Phrontist. I'm ok with most of your post but feel that your negativity regarding too much water is a bit overdone. Given that the most prospective zones were not sampled as we already knew due to operational issue reported.
They are still saying 'on trend' to near by discoveries. More lab results awaited. Contractors taking shares instead of cash. All ok for me to hold. I can wait another 8 weeks for full evaluation and next winter if necessary.

Yes and guess who decides if JG should become a NED? Shareholders, that’s who. So logically thinking if that is what he wants to be in the new structure, is it likely that we will vote for him if the deal is poor? Plus JG would probably not want to be a NED in a company he did not believe in. After all a NED is not an employee and is rewarded in other ways for his policy and guidance. Share holders should therefore research whether they think a person is fit to become a NED, in an ‘enlarged group’.

Great interview that. Worth watching thrice over. Once to listen to him, once to observe and listen to the beautiful interviewer and then to listen again as you will have missed what he said the first 2 times, at least if you have similar blood to me. ;-p
With regards to content the main take away is that the oip in undervalued x15 when looking at the SP. And that's just the conclusion from Talitha findings. It's just a matter of hours days before a rerate. And why wouldn't the bod shout from the roof tops. It IS a fantastic well. They are basically not great at marketting but this interview needs to be their benchmark in future for showing their confidence. Big applause from me. Jolly good I say.

For me the SP drop is the result of a short term divergence of funds out of higher risk minnows into larger cap lower risk 'cant fail' type stocks. Plus there are actually a lot of ppl (really) who believe the decline of oil is already a done deal. It is they that are being hoodwinked and losing out on a golden investment opportunity here IMO.
Load up while you can. The tide will turn when reality Dawn's on them .
Ps - I've had 2 hybrid vehicles and both of them had vastly reduced (-50%) electric range in cold weather. No charging points when you want one. Many are broken. You even get petrol car drivers parking in charging bays. How many charging points do we really need. About 30million in uk? Nah. Not gonna happen.
Pps - 'Cant fail' stocks can and do sometimes fail too.
You only live once. But invest wisely and only what you can afford to lose or tie up for the med/long term. Then relax and have fun on these boards.

Someone asked a while back about whether the tests would be done one after the other (In series) or at the same time (in parallel). That all really depends on the need for people to do the tests or lab machines. Some tests may require samples to be stuck inside a machine which then takes x hours to do it’s job. If that machine has a high workload there may be a queue for that facility. On the other side if it’s mainly man power waiting to analyse the results it could be down to one or two ppl charged with interpreting and reporting the results. In the meantime, there will be daily /weekly updates between lab and 88e. Results only become official and need to be disclosed as price sensitive info when the lab report hits the desk. Doesn’t mean they don’t know ‘something’ now. All IMO but based on 45 years of engineering and test planning. ( not oil). Safe to say the ship is still water tight at present.
I do think results will be drip fed in two or three chunks. Would be rude not to.

13.20 Thanks Tony. I’ve had my fair share of dud penny shares that have ended up at zilch. But now wiser and looking to de-risk when opportunities arise. I wouldn’t hold shares here if I thought there was a real risk of imminent short term collapse of the SP. Experience and research into this share leads me to believe there will be pay back. So I accept zero to £12 as a range, although don’t expect the zero to enter calcs anytime soon. All my opinion though and I feel sure that lots on this board would agree, at least tentatively.
We could do with some news soon, to avoid price drift though. Ppl get bored otherwise.

If the upgrade is even half of what we were lead to believe the SP should still treble at minimum, but just IMO. Full scale massive find? Should break the springs on the dial IMO. However, the real value may only come with realistic flow tests results that the market likes, or the buyout offers that should come after successful flow of oil, or sooner. When comparisons are REALISTICALLY being made to Prudoe Bay, and the SP has hardly moved, something is wrong. Times have changed, but oil is still valuable and will be for many years to come.
So many great points about this company, all of which have been covered over and over and included in the last webcast, I can only assume investors are currently blinded or enticed by the post COVID boom in other areas of the market that has been going on. Will it change? I hope so.

Cheers all for posting the whereabouts of DW. Using a bit of google it would appear that his new office is about 5.6 km across town in Perth. About 6 mins by car. Safe to say he doesn’t care much for travelling or he just loves it where he lives. I dare say it’s nice and warm most days and close to the sea for yachting and spending your dosh in luxury.
Nah, I’m not jealous! Good luck to him and his family. I’m sure we’ll by toasting his health again when these lab results deliver the goods.

In an ideal world we should be given a chance to help raise the cash as LTShare holders. But do they have the luxury of time to organise that given that we are at present totally in the dark regarding who or what the new business consists of?
Maybe they are writing a prospectus as we speak? Will they get enough interest to avoid a failed cash raise? What's the risk? Given that everything is behind closed doors with no leaks, I'm thinking the whole package will be presented as a done deal. Happy to be proved wrong though.

Roobler - I found this in today’s RNS attachment. I’m not totally sure but it seems that we do still have some benefit from iclaprim if it ever creates revenue above the amount shown below.

“14. Subsequent events
In January 2021, the Company divested the ownership of Motif Biosciences, Inc. to Orange Avenue Technologies, LLC ('Orange'), an entity controlled by John Palmer of Tamarack Associates Inc. Mr. Palmer, through Tamarack Associates Inc., was previously appointed in early 2020 as the sole Executive Officer of Motif BioSciences. Under the Stock Purchase Agreement with Orange, the Company will receive 90% of the revenues received by Inc. from iclaprim, above a $250,000 threshold.”
I’m not a legal guy so whether this lapses or continues when the new company is formed is anyone’s guess. But I feel, this condition was meant to protect our ‘failed’ drug from being lost forever from those that fought hard to monetise it. This drug has a long history and for sure is not the last time someone tries to get it approved. It will happen one day. For now though we should park this and look forward to the ‘new’ team and their business plans and products. Rather exciting!

Chrissev1 - We/I think DW has played his leaving card very quietly to possibly help add to the excitement of the Merlin drill on his leaving. It was a calculated decision maybe or maybe not? Could be just personal. But. You could say once he decided to leave -
1. If Merlin result was great = he’s an outgoing star. And rich with his share stash.
2. If Merlin result was a disaster = the price surge got to near 5p, allowing LTHs to save themselves from pain. Their own fault if they didn’t. As far as we know he didn’t sell any so far. After the 10th May we will not know if he has sold or not.
3. If Merlin result is ‘more jam tomorrow’ = DW will still believe in the long term good outcome for 88e and he will still end up very rich if successful eventually.
4. Maybe he will become the director of another oil company and steer their acquisition of 88e. Who knows.
He is one smart cookie and can’t lose whatever he does. The only down side for him is that one of the posters on here lives near him in Perth and has threatened to poop on his front lawn a few times. Enough to make anyone hedge their bets. If he’s not in charge any more, no need to take any blame, so no log dumping! ;-)

I can honestly see this doubling again if the world economy holds up after the Covid recovery. Although any sniff of a recession and down it will go. Who says you cant time the market? We'll see?
