The neighbours seem happy with their well. Just dipped my toe in and grabbed a few shares just in case! Hope it was a good decision. Not sure why 88E hasn’t risen on what seems to be an oily well nearby to our leases. Although some would say we knew that. Do we only get gold stars and spangled banners when the oil is coming up in fountains I wonder. I really don’t know why the big oilers don’t do this drilling malarkey themselves , especially on the north slope. They must be bonkers. It seems to me the stuff is everywhere.

But hold on. I need to add that before we get take over offers I think we need to think about the "creaming of the curve" so aptly refered to by DW many moons ago. Right now we don't really have more than a hint of a few squirts of milk from the cow. Come on Dave, what do we have? Sorry to be impatient but the SP sat where it is is not great.
When you dont know what you have as documented assets you will get shafted in a sale of assets. Even the Russians got shafted when they sold Alaska to the US. Proove up our leases for what they are worth and get creaming please! That was the only reason we all bought in. Wasnt it? You cant leave without finishing the job. Tsh!

Our BOD have to agree with an offer from a potential buyer and then recommend to shareholders in a vote I think. If accepted by holders then you get either shares in the new company or cash or a mixture of both depending on the terms of the deal.
The nice situation would be to get an offer and then another bidder outbids the first. That would be fun but probably a little ambitious.
However, if discoveries (plural, yes) are confirmed, why not.

It could also be that Wall doesnt think Biden's presidency will make his job any easier. After all the delay to Merlin 1 was Biden's fault. Having said that, some believe our leases are much more valuable because of Biden.
I think the proper results of both Merlin and Pantheon's Talitha well will result in a complete rerate of the market value quite soon - if we are not sold before DW leaves. But just speculation that comes from bread crumbs left scattered across t'internet.

Oilfrmer - Probably you missed the announcement that Dave Wall was stepping down. It was a few months ago. Shortly after the announcement DW included the words "good fortune" in his wishes towards share holders.
I think it's fair to say that no one really knows why he's leaving but many probably (rightly?) believe that his departure is significant in that he feels that the company has proven up enough, assuming good results at Merlin, to warrant an almighty rerating of the companies value. Many are speculating that some leases may be sold or even the whole shebang.
Many believe at multiples of today's price. The OTC gang stateside have latched on to this and will, on the sniff of good news, escalate the price, dare I say it, too the "moon"! Sorry that's not like me. Just quoting the rampers words from a few weeks back.

Just another 44,000,000 shares issued on lieu of services to pay a contractor on Merlin. Another contractor wants shares albeit a small transaction in the big scheme of things. Should be another clue as to what the hands on deck think. SP positive maybe? Hopefully. More announcements please 88E.

Was wondering if anyone had done any cash flow analysis recently on where the company might be in 6 to 12 months considering the US growth? I realise the pandemic skews everything but I have noticed that for the last couple if centuries, ppl do like a drink or two and tend to double up in times of both stress and celebration. So whether the pandemic eases or is fixed it must be win win right?

Thanks for your opinions Jatw / Dave. I should probably read up more about cash flow. I am familiar with P/E ratio. But P/S ratio required a little googling! It makes sense what you say. I Just wish the rewards where a bit nearer. Hope it's worth while. Although I never risk large sums in individual shares. Mouths to feed and all that.
It does amaze me how companies like Asos and BooHoo can get way ahead of themselves with their P/E s when they are based on teenagers whims on buying clothes yet for life saving drugs the same doesnt seem to apply. Just my ramblings but there you go. I guess it all makes stock picking so much harder trying to back winners. So many variables.

19.13 Interesting take on The potential thoughts of a big player like ConocoPhillips. Cheers for posting Ford. I feel many investors will be thinking these thoughts and could well be the reason the share price had its rush of blood a few weeks back, buoyed on by the start of the drilling. I can't help thinking that some loose lips may have been pursed to blow (fan) the flames though. And I hope they do so again tomorrow or Friday!
We do however, need a BOD that truly acts in the interests of shareholders through any closed door deal making. I'd hate to think of what could happen if ConoP played hardball and feathered the nests of a few at the expense of the majority of LTHs. DW leaving in May is a worry but I really hope he has protected our interests on his way to the bank with his wadge.
I've got to be really really honest. I will actually be disappointed if this doesn't deliver a ten bagger from here after the best ever drill by 88E. I wont cry, but I can hold a pretty mean grudge. ;-)
If there is no sale, I'm happy to wait for more drilling to derisk further, hopefully with funding pulled out of one DWs hats or his successors' which protects from too much further dilution.

My problem is I set a target sell price but I end up selling too early. When they go back down I forget to buy until they've gone back up. Doh! I think I need a fund manager. You guys confuse me with your arguing. Why can't we all agree it's going up or it's going down? Jeez, what's up with you all.
