Thanks Davey. Also for posting the Trinity Delta note on 24th April 2021 from March. It's a compelling read for research and investment knowledge. I wonder if Brokers use mainly this ir whether they have other tools in their box to decide their ratings?
Trinity always use conservative estimates, so plenty of upside too if HCM get it right, which we hope they will. Definitely a long term hold. And I completely understand why one would buy on dips whilst being wary of any downside news or socio/political events that may come from left field.
The SP swings sometimes seem a little erratic which makes "trading" quite hard, for me anyway, but long term, has to be worth a punt.
I wont risk more than 5 percent in any one share but maybe this one could warrant it. Would love to hear other views.

Re-rate...must be overdue

I noticed yesterday on my invest direct platform with H.S.B.C that HCM has 10/10 buy signals in its broker ratings. I think it's the first time I've ever seen that for any share. 100% bullish.
I realise that you can take broker ratings with a pinch of salt, especially if just one or two ratings available but I thought it was worth sharing.
No advice intended. Any other platforms have a similar picture?
Rate rate must be overdue.

I did indeed Bynari. Wonderful to listen to. I am not an oil man, but I am a very good engineer who can appreciate fully when science is telling me something. Its screaming huge positives right now. If we lose money it's probably gonna be cus of social/political carp, if we win we win big time. Quite simple in my mind. Plus it's fun.

mrcautious - understand totally your cinicism. It's a fairly natural thought process shared by most investors. Rightly so imo. But, I think right now the world is absolutely chokka block with special situations. Governments, official bodies, individuals are, I believe, reaping the benefits on a massive scale of the uncertainties thrown upon us by Covid-19. This deal must have unique appeal for all parties to take money, whether in taxes, royalties, debts, whatever to help resolve the devastation in their balance sheets. It's time limited. The pandemic will be over. Scrutiny will be reborn. The deal must be done v soon.

The end of April is tomorrow is it not? No RNS would be a dereliction of duty. As we all know the Line of Duty for RTOs rests clearly with AC12 or whoever they become after their RTO, should settle the matter. Mother of God give me strength.

Bynari. I watched the webinar and questions and answers with some degree of amazement. I don't think I've ever seen such a credible positive investment arguement as this before. Sorry I didnt watch earlier.
Lots of really key words repeated over and over such as "fantastic, amazing, spectacular" topped up with "billions and billions of barrels of oip."
I just hope I've not put the mockers on this by join the band of SHs. Dont worry folks I've been researching for 4 years and glad I left it until now to throw my pennies in. You'll know it makes sense if these lab results confirm the companies' and independent views. Everything crossed.

As I’ve said before, I was spiked at 4p several years ago and managed to eek out a profit by averaging down over the years and selling recently, keeping some for the ride. I’m probably wearing my smug face too much at present.
Too be honest, there are some really good posters on here but things often get taken the wrong way. I really hope you come good with your investment and enjoy the chats on here, as a few of us do. I have absolutely no agenda whatsover except to converse with fellow human beings and have a laugh. I wouldn’t waste time chatting if it was just money I was after. Although I do desire to win rather than lose. Which fool wouldn’t.

If I have 2 apples and we give one to Jimmy. How many do I have? A. = 1 apple or a 50% reduction in inventory.
If I now ask for it back I will increase my inventory by 100%. ie 1 becomes 2 again. Magic eh?
If I gave both apples to Jimmy. I was 100% down. If I borrowed 6 apples from Bert. And gave all 8 apples to Jimmy I would be 400% down but also owed 300% to Bert.

I love the calcs Sailplane. You saved me a job. Of course it's all a little guesswork too but how else can we compare the experts analysis if we dont have a bash ourselves. I took a small stake in PANR but also in 88E. I reckon if either one gets the thumbs up with lab results it will result in a scramble for cheap shares on the other too. A kind of gold rush for oil. It's pointless predicting SPs but we can have a stab at market cap based on recoverable oil /gas guesstimates. I'm certain that is why the interest in NA is so high and helping to drive 88E and now I expect PANR. Up we go I feel.

Ashley Gilbert has been there over 4 years. You can learn a lot in four years about continuing the the strategic direction of a company if you are working shoulder to shoulder with the top man. Not many ppl actually use the discipline of the degree that they gained at university in their roles in life. So I'd say it's not completely true to say that if he's an accountant he cant do DWs role. In fact most of DWs intuition has been in financial matters. Deciding what to buy, recognising bargains, recognising tax breaks etc.
Just for balance folks. I'm still hoping that what Merlin results reveal will spark the re-rate. We'll see.
