Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
More strategic investment by VSI then and possibly by PCA (persons closely associated) with VSI but we have no proof of this and we still dont have any idea what their strategic investment was for and we have not had any PCA RNS's or any RNS about directors buying or selling a single share.
More strategic investment by VSI then and possibly by PCA (persons closely associated) with VSI but we
"The systems sell in the range of the low-to mid-hundreds of dollars"
Isnt this referring to the total cost of DMS of which the chip is a part of it?
10% of cars @ $30 on current 1.31fx with current shares with 40% knocked off for beer money and padded cycling shorts, gives me and EPS of 5p, anyone trying to sell this for less than 25p or making any effort to do so should be shot. Some questions now flying about the place about the BMW win and exactly how many models are involved, looks like Mr DF is a bit conservative.
Phil, i saw this in August.......
"we now have an order book in Auto of >$100M and an undelivered order book in fleet of $50M"
This was less than 3 weeks before we got the RNS about fleet, to me they are doing something with fleet and made it appear a bit rubbish, its why i am very keen to see what deal (if any) is done and with who because someone appears to have quite a decent order book to manufacture.....
I sold a house once for £57k, i bought it for £35k, i thought i was a genius...... however its now worth £290k,..... generally the best time to buy houses is when the agents cannot sell them and the market is all doom and gloom. Buffett said....
“Every decade or so, dark clouds will fill the economic skies, and they will briefly rain gold. When downpours of that sort occur, it’s imperative that we rush outdoors carrying washtubs, not teaspoons.”
Took me years and several financial cycles to realise that you buy stuff when people don't want it and to always go the opposite way to the crowd when travelling, its always more rewarding.
Giving a start date for Jack as January 2019 and Ken remaining as CEO/Chair indicated that something was happening hence the summer interest and why some might have held these, maybe that reversal back down 15th of July street is jack now implementing one of his beliefs "not to take the obvious path which often is the easiest"
I dont think any future funding will come from the markets, that's just so obvious and un-jack like isnt it?
Building a decent quality team in Oz was being questioned.
VSI are strategic Investors.
VSI & Dyson are very close
Dyson & Electric cars
Singapore
And who was it that said to me that Dyson's ambitions to build and electric car were just fun only a few months ago...clearly not it seems, they appear very serious indeed. An area to watch maybe, especially when there is a lot of talent in Singapore.....
Page 5 says 10k units, however in London in March management said 13k units were on order and ready to ship.
Management (2 of them) told me fleet was all on track
Kevin T stated in his presentation in June 20k fleet units
Page 46 Mike M got paid $1.8m.
Its things like this i want changed.
When you travel so far down a road towards a destination and then you reach Early July street and the destination suddenly changes you have to reverse back up along that street asap and get back to the plan that shareholders have
You can see how important Guardian is to strategic investor VSI by looking up Sean Gan who is director of Guardian SE Asia in Singapore, in April he was appointed to the BOD at VSI, Suggests to me that the contract manufacturer VSI are very keen to ensure Guardian progresses their way and all over summer you have people like Sanjay saying Guardian is worthless but the major shareholder and influential voice wants to keep it....imagine if we did have people circling and they didnt want fleet we are making ourselves very hard to buy with it so lets see what they do, give it to VSI for an injection of cash taking them to 19% and then when they truly have control over manufacturing anyone wanting to buy SEE is almost forced to adopt VSI manufacturing and they would probably sell out cheaper, right now they wont sell cheap they will lose too much.....my opinions of course

Has anyone seen any telematics company state recently that it has stopped making telematics units as the price of something went up, then to go on a mass PR drive about the telematics boxes they stopped making and attending trade shows?
As i understood it SEE were using a contract manufacturer in Hong Kong which was not VSI, i recall CAT were using the same one for their own DSS. VSI will probably get the whole lot and use Fovio, i cant see them selling fleet to anyone except CAT as they gave CAT exclusive rights to Quarry, Cement, Forestry industries, so who would want a cake minus a few slices?
Well if they can source parts & make a V10 cyclone and ship it around the world and James Dyson gives them thumbs up, then surely SEE will be bending over backwards to let their strategic partner get their hands on it.
Oxbotics are one that seems to be interesting to the small handed monkey living in the research tree near me.
As i understand it, there are several generations (Gen) of DMS.
Gen 1 for us was the CT6, we had a win with US automaker years ago and then a year later SEE named GM CT6, GM were happy to make people aware SEE was in their technology, two fanfares (ramp ramp) same deal. SE did win some early BMW models (Gen 1) but as we know these models are lower initial numbers (like CT6) and the speed at which it can be used appears limited, maybe due to performance?
maybe try this as a post and think a bit more about communications and content or employ the services one of the many decent PI's to glance over your communications, as without us you are bobbing about in a sea of waves and the PI's control the mood here, right now they are not pleased about the 4th September and events leading to it.
Well done to our friends at SE for securing the Gen 1 models with B@W at limited speeds, its proving without doubt that DMS will be huge amongst leading OEM's, SEE looks forward to enhancing the protection given by them across ALL models at all speeds when Gen 2 is launched.
Something like that would do............ Ken appears to be in the corner of the ring with his BOD after being dealt a vicious (some say justified) right hook by Sanjay at Panmure over the way this has been run the last 6 months, is Ken about to get up and deal Sanjay a roundhouse kick to knock him out with a major OEM win or will he throw in the towel and let Ryan take the gloves when he has shed a few pounds?
Great product, im a big fan, but Jack needs to take charge of the team in the corner and knock a few out......
Bud i think some are comfortable we will feature in the instrument cluster of the 3, 5 and X4 as those i believe were the starting models, a bloke down the fish market told me Audi is end of 2018, but he also said Toyota absolutely love Australia. Plenty to go around, if you want performance you go to SEE, if you want low cost with lower performance you go to SE. SEE insist on a non compete agreement and are selective on who they deal with, SE happy to deal with everyone, both are decent companies, however recent events especially the summer leading to the 4th Sep RNS have lost SEE some scores on their integrity rating with me, but now with Jack "integrity" Boyer sat in his leather chair they might have to stop messing about or we start a revolution. Lewbo your article on the Quantas relationship with L3 is interesting, so quantas has told people about the deal so the timer is on.........1-1.5 months usually
SEE bid to lose on a number of RFQ's and refuse to deal with specific T1's, they have their reasons for this, SE seem to be happy to deal with anyone regardless and i did read a comment from someone in auto that they protect themselves less than see do when it comes to a T1 messing about........CAT originally chose SEE after extensive tests, Autoliv came to SEE as a result of GM (ditching SE) , Ford came to SEE as a result of the Germans (Merc BMW)........i say that Toyota will come to SEE as a result of the previous ones and at that point all of this will be forgotten and the ramp bus will arrive again and S7 will love Ken and want to watch him shower ;).........keep calm SEE have for some reason wiped all the makeup off and are now sitting quietly, some think they know why as they have been here before........we will only know why when we get to the summit.
Lewbo your 18.12 post sums it up nicely, without question they knew fleet was having issues, they told Cenkos in May that they were having problems, Cenkos issued a note saying 50k units in july when there appears absolutely no way at all they were even planning this so it requires someone to look at what has been said and who is responsible for this. As far as i see it Mike came in for 6 months so dont blame him for anything he appears to have come in with a greedy bucket for some free shares a pasty and a placing, Paul A was responsible for the P&L of the sector over many years and this has not delivered, Paul is a nice chap and so am i but when it comes to my finances i draw the line sometimes, i think we were concerned about the Cycling club a long time ago. CEO's give 3-6 months notice and as Ryan was a CEO before with FROGTECH Geoscience until recently then i suggest they knew very well what was going to happen which is why we as a group work together to find out what is going on and question the free shares given recently. When a business is raking in money nobody gives a toss, inflated mileage claims and hookers on expenses kind of stuff, however the moment you have some challenges the detectives start looking at everything in detail. We know that they have some stuff to tell us this year and Cenkos have just mentioned the Toyota word and that is very significant indeed.
They have created an amazing bit of technology that will save millions of lives, they have been far too optimistic wanting to set up more sections than a supermarket, but its outgrown them now, we need the big boys in with their vertical integration wands and large research labs. Im really glad we have Nick DF i want to shake his hand and buy him a cigar, give him 20m shares.
Unlikely, check out the Cenkos note page 5 and think about what VSI do for dyson and wonder if this was the plan all along?
All manufacturing and inventory management will be outsourced to a strategic manufacturing partner.
I can see it coming myself.
I have a cunning plan Mr Blackadder...........Why not give yourselves millions of free performance shares in August 3 months early when it was 9p+ (target) and give mike all his free shares and the ones that lapsed to shut him up, then issue a fleet RNS 4th Sep smashing it back down, but hold back Waymo news saying you dont have any news despite on the 29th August the two lads from the proclaimers were singing......
Waymo drive 5m miles and we might help them drive 5m more
With DMS from SEE the driver wont be sleeping anymore
lalalala
lalalala
Now the brokers have downgraded it to the magic 15p and in a few months someone will arrive as a shining knight with 15p for you and you will all be happy to say yes and the moral of this story will be "love elephants"
IIT EH1
Cenkos EH2
Amati EH3
Xilinx EH26
The Proclaimers (who sang waymo drove 1m miles and SEE might help them drive many more) grew up in Edinburgh
There is definitely something about Mary (AKA Kyle Vogt) in this L5 journey as we cruise onwards, but definitely something about Edinburgh too. Still wondering why some of the Cenkos clients like Max didnt sell some at 14p having made 3x return in over a year. When i went to Edinburgh it smelt of hops not fish...........Cenkos you really do seem to have your clients under control and i'm happy if they fight off diversity with VSI at 15p if you are fishing for more in the lakes of the US with CG. However, remember that being aware of issues in May with V2 but stating 50k units in July smells fishy too....... looks like the BDMS has given a few people a bit of a boost, are we going to skip the diverse T1's, shelve plans for fleet, rail and aviation (oddly quiet despite some apparent progress), sell Fovio chips to telematics companies and do a Jack B and go directly to PE in Silicon Valley?
Interesting to see what they say this week but more interesting to watch any interviews with the sound off......spin off Fovio Pt2 and put BDMS in auto, make Nick DF CEO shelve everything else or keep fleet with assistance from a T1 as these distributors are too slow selling it, make some redundancies to get rid of the excess weight, then have a BBQ and keep Canberra as a research centre with a nice cycle track for everyone.
