A bit of inflation proofing hopefully and they still have a bit more of that other bit to sell. So expecting another forced sell later in the year. Wonder what they will be sold for me for?

Sounds a bit contradictory shares rising when the buyback stops, you would expect the opposite. I'm hoping for a bit of a lull maybe February time when politics is back in full swing and the Santa rally end of year bonus have melted away to add a few more as I missed the recent lows

Yes shorts are rising but I dont know about "banking" on a bad report. The reports were going the wrong way anyway after the change in strategy. Will this work better in the longer term? who knows and maybe they had to change something or follow the rest of the retail lemmings. I doubt the shorters would be fazed enen if the trading was good as the outlook still remains cloudy. Always difficult to plan a bbq in advance in the uk ..... easy in Cyprus. Still SB is being well paid if the plan works or not so might be able to save the odd million if they go a different way.

Starting to tick back up now. Was it waiting for the traders to sell after taking the options. I thought it might have ticked up before now so shows how little I know.

Thought the USA side was causing issues? Is this the reason for the decline rather than the buyback. Makes you wonder where the SP would be without it

Just thinking the same myself, quick look at the chart and its been a steady decline as shorts have increased. Divi soon do I put it back here? Need to catch up on others first. Xmas update will be interesting, hopefully Queeny has been supporting debs via spending on the family. Quite a few shares off the boil recently

I saw the paddington ad and expect we will watch the movie at some point too, that will be worth a smile. Bookies reporting this week and still not sold them and poor debs shorts on the increase. Hopefully will have more time to get back to looking after my shares soon. Markets expected to be off on the start this week, maybe it buying time.

If only it was that simple. Then they could hire a new team and make another advert and the SP would shoot too. Just had a look at the advert, cheesy Christmas thing. Will it make you sick of Christmas by the time it arrives? Needs a cute cuddly animal maybe.

Queeny, cigs are not for me although they seem to do well as investments. Woody had some in one of his funds that I owned but I can't hold them directly. Having not the best current record with Debs, maybe I should give up my attempts and just follow QE instead. I see Chris Bailey will be out of work soon too but maybe Debs is below him. Are we too posh for magic mike then? So SB might fit the shoes after all. Rates have risen, as expected but media not happy, are they ever happy and pound down not up. Its a strange world. Not really keeping on top of things lately, too busy with life and looking after the outlaws who are suffering a tad just now. Might try and catch up with recent GSK, MRW, STAN, and RSDB updates before deciding if Debs is my next top up whist staying with them over the weekend.

I'd wait for tomorrow when the Fool says 10 reasons to sell GSK! I suppose holding the divi over time is effectively a small cut with inflation and gives them the time to improve the metrics and allow more dosh for investment. I like a rising divi but not sure about increasing it just yet. Of course I'm not as close to the pipeline as some and whilst I expect improvement, I'm not confident of feeding this into the divi with cover so low. Still its back on the add to radar

The "huge" profits are falling and debt, maybe not huge but at least significant, is rising. Those two good quarters are going to have to be huge quarters to turn around the SP. I hope SB gets it right, not to flush out a bid but to keep the divi's and debs going long term. Sharp 's team also seemed to be putting debs back on a firmer footing. Who would be best? I dont know, maybe both will have worked or both might fail ..... different paths to the same destination! I suspect its going to look a tad worse before it get better and that there will be a few years before we see your good couple off quarters. I hope I'm wrong on some of that though.
