With 28p or so off the SP tomorrow I wonder if that will mean starting with a 12 or 13 tomorrow? With divi support gone will it drop even lower and continue the trend or will divis be reinvested later and act as a bit of a boost. The buy yield might be quite high but you might need more than just crossed fingers

Woody is having a hard time with some of his investments but knows people will keep sending him some dosh to keep buying lower and lower. You never know one day they might come good and then he will be lorded again.

I don't know what to look for when its rising again 850, 880 or above �9. I suppose it depends on what is the bottom and you can never be too sure. Compounding at lower levels should work out in the long run unless ....................... see example above.

I know people in the police, forces and government. All are individual people on a day to day basis and their opinions sometimes differ with the government policy but cant do anything about it unless millions band together I dont think there were many soldiers voting to go to war but went and did their best when called upon. Governments dont seem to be very good or efficient with our money, net assets are still falling even under a tory government. If only they were investing for our future not wasting billions. you could not run your PF like they do

Welcome Big Cheese, not sure about the good defensive stock. Its fallen nearly 8%, or 2 years divis from its 52 week highs on a topping market. Still you have missed that and hopefully money has rotated away for various reasons and might come back when things look bleaker in the world. Unless a bleaker world is nationalisation!

and debt free. So I have, after a bit of a faf added some more of these but had to use two different brokers. Still one gave me commission free deal to ease the pain slightly. Hopefully this will progress over the next couple of years as its does it yo yo thing.

Not sure if its the lack of divi cover, high debt, nationalisation or the management buyback that convinced me to add more of these today. Sure I like a 7% yield but Mulder, it's SP will also drop by that 2% too. Lets hope we start getting some good news soon or a rise into the divi

I dont know if the divi payment tomorrow will aid any buying but the market was off a tad generally after a bit of a blip up. Divi hasn't risen in a couple of years but its generous anyway, for this year at least so have added more, mainly to balance PF more than anything else and to use up some divi cash. Its OK that a girl is now driving GSK, maybe one of the new blokes can tell her to turn the map the right way up! Now that I have finished my stereotyping they could look for someone who is gender fluid ..... and get the best of both worlds!

I bought some more of these around this time last year and now they are slightly cheaper. Divi rising is nice and expected to continue so to 2020 ..... if still in shareholders hands So added a few more today to keep PF in balance and will use the divi to buy some tinned food!
