Back to the good biscuits for us all if we have a few weeks/months of continued northerly travel in SP.

I shall stick with the cheap ones just yet though.

The UK at least certainly seems to be "getting back to normal".
Another example I felt was last night I went to see The Courier (by no means billed as a mega blockbuster). Tuesday evening and there were c. 30 at the screening. That's more than I would probably have expected for that type of film that day of week even prior to covid times.
There has been a few other recent visits where o also felt the numbers were strong, general "feel" of things ever improving also. Plus gradually seeing some more depth to releases.

Yes, Cineplex case resolved either in our favour or at minimal costs
Promising studio talks (hearing about since March) concluded with the expected theatrical windows.
Volume of releases increased.
Covid and vaccination reaching a point worldwide where it is no longer a consideration movies maybe delayed or their type of release altered.
Attendances consistently much nearer pre covid levels proving conclusively the future.

All above leads to Cineworld no longer being cashflow negative to cashflow positive and in time to a level that not only services the debt but shows it can be paid down in the relevant times for each element of the debt.

They may even (like many of us) wish they had managed to reduce near those £1:24 highs.
Looks ever more a tuck it in the drawer and forget about it for year or two stock now.
Happy enough of that's the case, so long as none of the still uncertainties hit us unduly hard.

We print need to get over the frustrations when SP sits around same price for a month or less or ot could become torture for some.

Every movie "lost" to streaming or such is obviously a loss, but not the end of the world as you like to make thread titles dramatic Cruis.
All studios and businesses still feeling their way back to "normality" .
Only a fool would expect a smooth road back, don't you agree?

Meanwhile month on month growth in box office as percentage of co.parable 2019 month looks like continuing. As does number of movies released into cinema.
I am focused on those trends more than what any particular film does.

Oh we won't see 2019 again, or was two years ago ;-)
Well I don't see staying in as the new going out, not what I have been witnessing.
However we can all have our different opinions and experiences.
Time again will answer us.

Cruis, but that does effect Cineworld. Every single movie release that takes less than forecast at box office is a smaller pie for us to have our slice off.

We are probably into next year or very late this year before we are seeing movies give or near to the returns we may previously have anticipated (well that's my current guess where things are going).

Not saying it is a roaring success, as clearly so far it isn't. However it is showing as 118m currently (i.e. over 100m).

Read somewhere at one point Cineworld had not included in their paperwork.

We did lose some landlord dispute cases similarly from memory.
Time will give us all the answer.

There is their side, your side and then the truth usually somewhere between and all that.

My problem with thinking it's as simple as Cineplex were over the contractual debt limit is of it was that straightforward we would already be long past this. Remember even back in March Cineworld said during webcast hopeful of pit of court settlement around June.

That's not happened and court looks likely.
Both sides will have decent legal advice and it can only be reasonable to assume both think something to be had/not liable.
Something of concern or not, it will be better to be behind us (assuming no full costs loss, or that would have us in ****)

Thanks PW, As I said Thursday/Friday pretty surprised it was not mentioned on the webcast at all and hoped that meant near certain favourable outcome.
However I most certainly will still be very pleased to see it behind us, dealt with and hopefully little/no costs. Maybe even some money in covering monies already spent on the issue.

This out the way and hopefully movie slate largely still able to release on current dates then after next couple months we should have a far better clarity of direction.

That short increase only accounted for c. 275k shares and 15.75m were traded yesterday.

The UK percentages are for adults only, whereas o understand the percentages widely reported for other nations are for entire population.
Therefore USA on like for like basis are comfortably higher than the 60% noted (which is obviously good).

I don't see USA or UK going back into full lockdowns, however as witnessed by Venom latest short delay the studios have to consider beyond these two markets when releasing their movies to theatres.

Not saying we are doomed or any dramatic nonsense like that, but we do need to be aware of small chance of further delays if current trends continue in some parts of the world.

Agree it's 2022 before we (hopefully) see a "clear run" for cinemas, Cineworld and all of us.
