With major blue chips such as BHP, Newcrest & Blackrock on the share register with signifant multi million holdings you would have to back their collective due diligence on behalf of their shareholders before making such significant investments in Solg versus the likes of Rick, Brent & AG who I liken to sporting pundits all trying to appear very knowledgeable vs their peers so as to enhance their reputation / following. So for me it’s quite simple. Do I trust industry majors to call it right or a bunch of guys with large egos? Hmmmm now let me think about that for a minute or two!

Much as I would love these funds to buy into Solg unfortunately this won’t happen any time soon as Solg only have a Standard LSE Listing which doesn’t require tracking funds to buy into the stock. It’s a Premium Listing which triggers this and when questioned recently Anna confirmed that Solg had no plans to change to a Premium listing. Have posted a link below giving some rudimentary info but previously I did research what was involved in a Premium Listing and Solg just doesn’t come near ticking all the boxes but please do your own research. Like most investors and certainly NM I want to realise a true value for the resource we have so taking Alpala in isolation with extensions to Trivino and possibly Aggy I would like to think once we have drilled the guts of it towards the end of 2019 and included in a BFS around the middle of 2020:this could and should be worth north of £2 per share and hopefully nearer to £2.50 especially if it sparks a bidding war! £1 is far to cheap to sell some of our Crown Jewels in fact it would be daylight robbery but could happen if bids come in too soon hence why NM is trying to keep BHP sweet and onside until he has a proven financially viable mine rather than just resource assays. GLA whichever way it plays out as we will all be winners it’s just a case of when and by how much

Burnbank - If Rio came in and bought Solg for say £2 per share and they had circa 245m shares they would have to sell them to Rio (unless of course they wanted to Beat Rios bid) so in this scenario they would bank around £490m vs what they paid which if they continue buying up to there 245m share limit would probably be around £100m so in these circumstances they would lose out to Rio but bank a profit close to £400m!Not what they would want I'm certain but better than a kick in the teeth!

I had read this before but the bit I am unclear on is would BHP fall into the category of revealing an increase in their holding with ever 1% increase or do they fall into the camp where notification is required after every 5% increase? Given BHP currently own around 11% of Solg and can’t go above around 14.5% this is a very important question to answer as if they don’t need to notify until they get to 15% this means we will be completely in the dark if they are building their holding!

Agreed Uni! If your going to dilute to raise more funds for exploration then this has to rank as the most positive way to do it! We now have another £45m in the war chest plus the other millions raised from the options so we are well financed for drilling until probably Q1 or 2 2020 by which time I’m sure a PFS will have been published with work well under way towards a BFS. Happy days ahead me thinks :)

This is why NM is keen to take Alpala as far as he can along the road towards production as he knows full well that only once we have a BFS and get into the Development Phase will we realise the true value of Alpala and deliver the kind of multi bagger return for shareholders which he has previously allude to. However I totally get why many want to make a quick buck after the PEA and I wouldn’t be against that, but if given the choice of £1 per share in Q2 2019 or £3 per share in Q1 2021 then for me it’s a no brainier and has to be when true value is released once we are into the Development Phase.

Umm wonder which potential development asset might fall into this category - now just let me think for a minute!

How about a much more simple explanation for the additional drilling, namely better than expected assays some of which to quote NM “are mind boggling” Therefore it makes perfect sense to conduct further drilling to explore these exciting new drill intercepts which can then be included in the MRE. No shenanigans as far as I’m concerned just plain common sense to prove up as much high grade as possible so the MRE exceeds market expectations and we get a re-rate which truely reflects the enormous potential value of Alpala/ Cascabel IMHO. GLA

Confirmation in RNS that drill testing of Trivino has commenced. Sorry if this is old news and I’ve missed it but this is the first time I’ve seen confirmation that drilling has started and hopefully could extend the Alpala system across to Trivino and add significantly to the resource

Well now it’s all starting to make sense. You haven’t worked since you were 18 so clearly came from a family who were able to give you a good start in life and by using this platform you have made LOADS OF MONEY over the years (Think there was a guy called Stavero on some sitcom who once said that lol) So there you are sitting in your Ivory Tower preaching to the poor souls who haven’t had such a good start in life and telling them they make you Cringe because they have the audacity to dream of bettering themselves and their families future by getting carried away at the thought of making a few bob! Clearly Nick specifically chose to use this word at the end of his presentation so my question is why? You could say it was like throwing a stone in a pool and watching the ripples gather momentum. My own take on why he chose to use this phrase is to sow the seed that Solg is vulnerable to a takeover and in doing so he is hoping it will ignite more interest in Solg creating a clamer for shares and driving the SP up which will help defend against a cheap hostile bid. Cause and Effect springs to mind and this single word was very carefully chosen by Nick to evoke a reaction from the markets.

Yep clear as day November is the target for getting out the revised resource statement! Everything else much the the same as NM presented at Diggers & Dealers but at the very end when he was out of time he said - We are big and we are vulnerable - Yes I know what your thinking and I had to pinch myself! Did he actually say vulnerable? I may have mis-heard this but I swear this is what he said! Clearly if this is the case he is definitely putting a for sale sign above Cascabel / Solg!

Good spot Qali re no one presenting in room 2 when Nick is on. They must be expecting a full house to hear what he has to say! Also worth noting that Toronto is 2 hours ahead of Colorado so TSX market will be closed as of course will LSE. What better time than to make some kind of announcement with both markets closed so can be digested over the weekend before markets open again on Monday! Exciting times :)

Agree with your summary and preferences which mirror my own. However I have this sneaky suspicion that NM has a burning ambition to transform Solg into a producer and what better way than a 3 way JV with BHP / Newcrest with the former cash rich and the latter with block mining expertise! Like I said it’s not my preferred option but if NM takes this route then you would hope he also secures some capital from BHP as part of the deal so Solg can merrily go off and Drill the other major targets it has identified and of course ultimately once production does start at Cascabel the dividends would be substantial. IMHO
