Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
I have just read the whole of the RNS, unlike some earlier posters here I think. At last this is an excellent news story, not least because it brings good news across several mines. The constructive conversations regarding dewatering will also be helpful. We are moving in the right direction.
The issue for me is that the broker was paid in shares at the IPO - until they are sold through there will continue to be more shares sold than bought. Until news that is. I have always been positive about the assets nevertheless. Baz
Re Groc. Firstly i will say i believe it will come good. However, for me the issue is that the broker was paid in shares and there were lots of them. So in my view, until those shares are sold into the market and the spring window for Greenland opens i’m not sure GROC will bring returns. i would say to buy in low but who knows what number that is! Baz
Agreed agreed agreed! Process 250 tonnes of the waste dump which is supposed to have 4g/tonne of gold. Create a 1kg bar of gold. Do NOT sell it to a jeweller. Go on national news announcing first Welsh gold retrieved for decades and have Sotheby’s auction it with great fanfare at the next “rare jewels” auction. Come on guys! Baz
True in so many ways...but at least Greenroc is fully funded and this is a move forward rather than backward. Elon is about to cash in $20bn of Tesla...time for him to invest methinks! GLA, Baz
I wouldn't worry. Of course there are licences around ours. That would be like Bahrain being worried that Qatar had land south of theirs and could benefit from it. So what. There will be enough resources for us all. Nothing to see here. All is well. Have a good weekend and let's look forward to the RNSs to come in the next few weeks. Baz
I was pleased to hear there are a series of RNSs coming up, hopefully including news about the waste dump.
At 4g per tonne I would like to see George waving a 1kg bar of gold having sorted 250 tonnes of waste and say "there you go!". With the environmental reports on their desks on Friday hopefully the dewatering licence will be turned round quickly.
Lots coming up and no bad news concealed anywhere. Hold and stay strong everyone.
Correct. There should be a system where buys and sells are correctly recorded as such rather than an algorithm that guesses based on mid price. All very boring. B
I've just bought £10k worth. Hoping positive news moves the SP...and I'm in so deep I might as well average down if I'm keeping the faith. Good luck all. Baz
Please note that some platforms (I use Interactive Investor) are not currently showing GROC as available to trade. This will change hopefully by tomorrow. Also some people will be selling Alba to buy GROC. Also we don't yet know how much we will get back here for the Greenland work to be repaid. BUT...the GROC price is holding up which is good for Alba ultimately. We just need to hold our nerve and let things settle down. Don't panic on day one of the split.
How about that juicy Greenroc RNS released at 4.30pm tomorrow, Friday, just so that everyone can chew the fat over the weekend? Then a super news flow every day next week regarding Clogau and Greenland. Well I can dream can't I?
VERY interesting to see the broker is taking its fee in share capital rather than cash. They clearly have confidence they will get the IPO away very well.
And Alba will hold the majority share of 54% so no cheeky predators can take it from us...roll on mid Sept!
Now we're racing towards the end of August and bank holiday and other holiday interruptions will be over, I suspect the news flow will be thick and fast across various assets. Not only Greenland but Clogau will have news too. Rather than no RNS in a 2 week period as before, I predict plenty in the next. GLA. Baz
Please don't forget that in the last useful update from May 17th, it stated: "The above fieldwork is expected to take up to six weeks to complete, with assays expected up to five weeks after the programme has been completed."
So....results should be in VERY soon if that timetable sticks.
Jeremiah...not sure if you're aware but Amitsoq is in Greenland. The ground's a wee bit colder than Wales. It's tougher and oh...they're on the side of a hill in the middle of nowhere..so if your equipment fails you can't just pop down to B&Q to buy a new sprockle pin. All in all, what drilling took place exceeded expectations. That's all you need to know for now. Just saying...
Happy Days! Alba Mineral Resources plc (AIM: ALBA) is pleased to report on the successful completion of drilling operations at the Amitsoq Graphite Project in southern Greenland.
Maybe it really is time to go to Elon and say...Do you want to invest in us? Or shall we just go to Bezos, Gates and Bloomberg like our neighbours in Greenland? All very very interesting. For all the reasons considering all of our assets i can’t see why our market cap isn’t x10 before long and that would still be low!! All the best Baz
Excellent all round video on Clogau and the surrounding prospects. Dewatering decisions very soon. Core drilling results for new quartz veins soon. Processing plant upgrades. Processing of waste to bring early cash flow coming. More RNS s to come.
well it must be moving ahead nicely if a broker has put it in his linkedin activity!
