With apologies to experienced investors, here is some information for you just so that you know what I was referring to. An RNS is the regulatory news service, which requires reporting to the stock exchange by any company when something significant or relevant to shareholders or the market happens. This would include anyone filing a TR1 form with the company. A TR1 form must be legally filed by anyone who buys or sells shares if they own over 3% of the company. This is in tranches of 1%. In other words, each 1% change requires a new form to be filed. Anyone hitting 30% of ownership has to automatically make a bid for the company. Whether this purchase of 12 million shares was by someone who already owns shares or not, it will still require a filing of form TR1 based on the amount. As such, that will trigger an RNS.
