Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
Seriously if SEYE hasn't won VW then Viktor's head needs to roll. There are many strong statements in there why they have won it and why we have not, and some of the reasons I can't even defend (strategy change at a critical point for example).
I don't know, I'm still absolutely assured we'll see significant uptrends but the whole VW / ST claim has shot down any of my enthusiasm as of late. I really wanted us to bag VW and we have zero reason to counter any of the claims Viktor is making. Hence the worry.
Oct 30 better be a good day.
Anyone emailed corporate yet for a response? I'm sure they've read it and no doubt interested particularly as Viktor talks about SEE more than his paying client!
The OEM strategies sector is an odd one, I think that's victors way of stating who the OEMs they have won are indirectly? All of them have strong links to SEYE at some point, must be no coincidence.
In fact he's making very strong claims there. Bit worrying. I wish Menon could counter some of those claims but alas he's down a different path it seems now :/
'nearly half that market' yet we only have 6 OEMs signed up... Just goes to show how deeply entrenched we are now in the ecosystem. We could be in 15 OEMs indirectly for all we know right now with zero requirement for disclosure. On the downside it sucks for any investor wanting quick returns but on the potential upside it gives us a longer runway to gain value as the dollar rolls in and suddenly exposes the size of the monopoly.
'SUNGLASSES_LIKELY_EYES_DOWN'
Wow.
'Well Mr NCAP, we think 30% of the time we can likely detect if the driver is looking down, possibly.'
Its like their engineering department have picked up Driver Monitoring Algorithms for Dummies or something.
Looks like Denso started branching out a few years ago to the likes of Mazda, Kia and Hyundai.

"Many aspects of the Model 3 are exemplary; its vehicle assistance is the best we saw in testing and it also aced the safety back up element," Thatcham Research said of the Tesla. "However, it achieves a 'moderate' rating for poor driver engagement, with a design philosophy that is very much about the vehicle doing the driving. That would be appropriate for an automated vehicle -- but this is vehicle assistance. The big 'self-driving' sell in its marketing material, combined with the high performing assistance, encourages the driver to relinquish too much control."
I do wonder how this will play out. Tesla is surely risking everything here but will they change paths to align with the incoming regs? They have to conform but if Elons promises are anything to go by they are still doing their own thing?
Esc sums it up perfectly there. Those that have been relentless in their research have provided the light here for years for the many, and has been proven many a times now, sometimes far ahead of even some 'experts' in the field that do this for a living! I swear many of them scan this board daily for the golden nuggets that seem to keep creeping up prior to anywhere else.
Put it this way, if it wasn't SEYE that tweeted it I would have read it and would have been confident it was us . LOL.
Not sure I even care anymore with the outstanding number of mcimminent announcements due any day.
Interesting article showing just how little progress AV firms such as Uber have made.
