Having been looking at charts for 4 years and more my question was on the frequency of the falls & rises on similar data. However, I understand your points of view and agree with many of them but I do not subscribe to there being no conspiracies afoot. Just look at the brokers recommendations lists, especially what happened around the last interim statement last week, just for a start. My other point is that the data is obviously available to the mm's yet they still respond far more quickly to the short recommendations than to the higher recommendations.

Fallingknife, with respect, how often do we get a 10% swing upwards at anywhere near the rate and frequency that we get a 10% drop in price?

1msn, Couldn't agree more. As explained earlier AHL's Est Nav did dip on Monday by 0.1%. The mm's started to drop EMG price 2 hrs before we got to know from 90.55p. The price drop continued on Tuesday all the way down to 87.15p, a 3.7% drop. On Tuesday AHL gained a full 2% and EMG's price has risen to just 90.05 as I write. Where is the justification for this. This highlights that we are still being ripped off, for what reason and it would appear that the regulators are either blind, scared or as crooked as those controlling this sequence. As posted yesterday this price should be 98p at least, not just 90p.

Yes, if it was moving in a ''properly regulated market''' type manner we would be at 98p or so. Seems I need it to be a bit higher to get anew set of specs as I made another error in my 15.49pm post. Man's price was actually at 116.5p that day, Jun 4th when AHL Est Nav was last at $1.1377 not the 113.9p I said. 113.9p happened to be the lowest price that day. Today's closing price is extremely low considering all the data.

as they have just dropped Man's price to 87.75p in spite of the fantastic 2% RISE in AHL's Est Nav for yesterday.

Est Nav is now 1.1254 up 2.0% Should be seeing your 95p jack as when Est Nav was 1.207, on Jun 5th, EMG was 97.05p. Will it rise a rapidly as they bring it down? A little bit more on AHL, as on Jun 4th, i.e. 1.1377, EMG was 113.9p . Getting near to your 116p.

AHL was 1.0653 on Oct 14th and was 1.1033 on Oct 21st. I work this to be 3.8% rise in AHL Est Nav over the week. So it was -0.1% on Monday not the -0.3% dip as I previously was led to believe by Man's Price & Performance figures.. The figures are estimated, however, the 'brilliant' mm's are over quick to drop the share price by 3%, (90.55 to 87.85), for a 0.1% dip in AHL. No offence meant but I think I would feel more trusting in the reputation of a downtown pawnbrokers than I do of the London Stock Exchange '''market''' .

Hi jackdawsson, another good day except for the 0.3 dip on Monday but still finished up an impressive 3.6% on week. Looking at the Google chart it looks like some got to know early, as price dipped from 90.55 to 89.55 in the last hour. Even though we didn't get sight of it until after 6.30pm

Well done again AHL (& bunks), the last time AHL was at this Est Nav level the price was into the 90's, what will it get to tomorrow? As for the big sells v buys, I've noticed this about four times recently. I believe it i something to do with belated trade figures. jackdawsson & mrtibs seem to know more about this subject. Another thing I have noticed is that the sells v buys on the site (LSE) regularly outnumber those recorded on google finance, usually between 15%-25%, even though I look up google figures days after the LSE figures.

Good news at last from at least one board member. Regarding AHL, not saying it will, but if it continues with another similar rise I would expect 120p as it was May 30. Being realistic & fair.

Up 6.4% in six consecutive trading days and the price still lags. Why are they holding EMG back?

As well as up to yesterday's interim, AHL did actually improve towards the day's yoy mention, May 3rd to 1.28 then a fall and to 1.11 on Aug 2nd then a fall. Coincidence or human intervention. === 'Shares are cheap' === yet Numis & Jefferies say otherwise, (to numerous other sources). Is this due to their shorting being outsmarted by the interim statement. ==== As well as being suspect of complicity, either event is not within the spirit of the rules of the London Stock Exchange. Does anyone really take advice from such sources.

Hi bunks, yes I need new specs. Five straight gains, pity it cant last unless it is the result of dropping those losing funds. Let's hope so.

not over 4% as I said. Well an awful lot is said about it when it is losing. See Numis may have been caught with their shorts down again as there'r trying put the boot in once more.

I thought any dividend would not be until after year end results. Unless they are feeling generous with a special.

Hi bunks, one of us might benefit from a visit to specsvrs, I know I would, however, AHL did go up on Tuesday but by 0.3%. Thats over 4% in 4 days trading. Wouldn't be wonderful if it could keep it up consistantly, if only by a quarter of that rise. I'd be able to afford a new pair.
