Can these figures be correct?25 Oct 2013 16:22
Firstly, 3 directors of GLG including Manny Roman were given shares worth $3.50 in May 2010, roughly £2.40 or so a share. All 3 directors share allocation were with a 3 yr lock in which obviously ended May this year, when EMG's price had rocketed to 1.36p on the back of supposedly big gains by AHL.
Then suddenly AHL begins to lose 'hand over fist' with a consequential dramatic drop in Man's price due to heavy selling, (many of those sells may or may not have been reported, according to more expert posters than me).
However, having just looked at Digital Look figures, I see the following holdings for Man BoD, and I am puzzled that the b/e price for each director all calculate to be 90.75p which I have shown in the fourth column:-
Notifier Holding Value* P/share
Emmanuel Roman 19,629,418 £17,813,697 0.9075p
Jon Aisbitt 1,681,251 £ 1,525,735 0.9075p
Jonathan Sorrell 526,073 £ 477,411 0.9075p
Andrew Horton 50,000 £ 45,375 0.9075p
Nina Shapiro 28,258 £ 25,644 0.9075p
Matthew Lester 22,692 £ 20,593 0.9075p
Phillip Colebatch 10,000 £ 9,075 0.9075p
Frederic Jolly 9,705 £ 8,807 0.9075p
Not only that but holdings for 3 of the largest shareholders are shown as:
Odey Asset Management LLP 74,813,322 £67,893,090 £0.9075
G&S Trustees Limited 64,157,809 £58,223,212 £0.9075
Legal and General Group 58,704,146 £53,274,012 £0.9075
Now I realise Odey bought lower. But I don't know about G&S or L&G. But they all break even at 90.75p as well.
Anyone offer an answer? I am interested as I also have been trying to get my average down from £2.40 but haven't done anywhere near as well as it seems Manny has done even though I cant see evidence of his interim dealing.
So I'm thinking something must be wrong with DL's figures.
As I posted yesterday a takeover based on current prices would not be in my favour. (Just wish my mother had pushed me into becoming a financial jockey).
