I’m in at about 625. This gradual drift down. I’m reading it as noise on no news (which is fine can’t update weekly) but anyone see anything more concerning?
Separately, what do we think is the calendar of events that will influence share price. Trading update naturally >> but is a sustained opening up an input? I think so as it will lead to more draw on THG products. Anyway sort of shooting the breeze // sort of testing for other views. Be well

Dear Keith,

Thank you for your email. It was unexpected and kind of you to respond.

Simply put I no longer have confidence in Sam Moody. I do not believe he has done very well. The proposed resolutions, arrived by a group of individual shareholders, politely advise such. A bolder resolution would call for his removal. Such action I feel falls properly within the remit of the Chair.

From the outside an unkind assessment is that Sam is employing a ‘wait and see and hope for the best’ approach. It is not clear to me that Sam has the agency or wherewithal to act. And change in leadership offers opportunity for that. And at this stage there must be some merit in employing a different lens to that which has overseen the deterioration of the company’s prospects, reflected in the share price, to date.

If I may, I do feel the Chief Executive’s remuneration to be entirely inappropriate (inclusive of 20% reduction).

Please can I encourage you to candidly seek counsel of the institutional investors who will carry more weight than I. I note you ‘believe’ their view is consistent with that of the Board. There is no harm, far from it – it is healthy practice – to explicitly confirm such.

Point72 Asset Management have increased short position throughout April >> and either going deep or will be getting a bit twitchy now (hoping the later). If Summer goes OK - and we make up for the Christmas we didn’t have - and new SLT get feet under table (all IF) I can’t see why one would short this stock in preference over others?? I have some concerns over European assets but recent RNS note on France leads me to think the downside is baked in. As awful as it sounds if Europe needs to raise COVID walls to rest of world so it can enjoy a ‘European quality of life’ it will. That life relies on retail, entertainment, city living. Good for HMSO if not the wider world.

My post pointed to medium term +ve outlook.
But concern with short-term - response to it confirmed liquidity present (& yes I should know this - but purpose of a this Board is to bounce - NOT vent). Hope (and will want) new CFO to recast debt profile.
If you would like some ramping (!) The biggest +VE i seek at Hammersons is what looks to be an excellent SLT forming. With clear objectives. If they navigate next year well then clearly 80p+ possible - but we remained in unchartered (and choppy) waters. There is reason not to acknowledge this. Or become emotional about it. Be well

I’m invested. My concerns are debt profile. Future write downs in asset value (consequent to rent reduction) and consequential LTV breaching convenants. By no means out of woods. My rationale is senior team appear good. Clear out is almost complete. Repurposing of city centre sites offers sig. upside. But feel this is medium term realisation. Short-term 6-9 mths improved rent collection appears only avenue for upside. To what extent is that baked in? Not wanting to be a Cassandra (as invested) but keen to bounce rationales. For me cash with really start lose value at and around medium term upside being realised. There is part of me that wants to double up - but - hammersons cash management fairly precarious (still). Thoughts?

Getting close to 5% here. If we organise well. Board will need to consciously ignore it which is impact in itself (clearly we wish for more). It really is upsetting how much we have each accepted and put up with. Pleased we are now voicing in unison.

OK so how do we now make this happen - feels like we have the 5%. Do we need to set up share action group? Do we write a joint letter to Rockhopper? How does it action from here on in. Keen to do it

Please could some summarise how one does exercise a vote (I think I saw it on a previous post). I have my shares in a barclays account. Presumably I write to them and say I wish to vote? Helpful if someone could also share the 'cut-off' date for doing so. The running total on votes we could cast is currently 17,527,005. (17.5 million) out of 458 million shares outstanding. Not all will vote. But currently at just under 4%. Could we write to some of the institutional shareholders to ask they join us?

I only have 100K. Never posted. But watched. One doesn’t know the ripples of ones actions. But one does know to do nothing is to accept zero agency. We are shareholders it is our responsibility to send a message. No man/woman is bigger than the company. The message must be performance is unacceptable. Actions can vary (once message sent). I would encourage new members to Board and an Executive Director into Exec that has history of getting things over the line (happy to pay £££ for this). Not happy with the ‘well wait and see attitude of Board.

Are there other key events to add eg Falkland events / Premier events?

Simply pulling a timeline together - not looking to ramp / deramp. Personal position is in ave @ 32p : most likely hold until timeline unfolds or circa 90p is breached (no need for jokes that it’ll never happen, I appreciate the risks).
