I am invested (heavily now) cautiously optimistic : though am nervous. The wildcard here is if Blackrock knew something / worked out something none of us did when they decided to block sell holding. I can only think they has a falling out with MM or had CSG concerns so kinda got told from high up to sell. Really really hoping for a Chair to be announced.

Why all the buying now? Hoping its because sentiment is OM is imminent and +ve.

MM and THG simply require a good Chair so both may grow and blossom. MM instincts are what you would want in a creator. It’s simply require modulation and some helpful internal critique and challenge; growing pains. Beyond results it is better governance that will lift SP and more importantly (which SP is a reflection of) create a better business.

Difficult watching such large -ve movements. Really really req. a heavyweight Chair to steer in such a situations. I must be missing something but I really do feel all the bad news is out : and most of it is a lack of understanding (which is entirely the responsibility of THG). Hoping for clarity next Tuesday and frankly a quick jump (300 ideal) and then a very very boring steady rise.

Interested on thoughts on HMSO as a takeover : buyout target pls. My view is it’s a bit too big and in the middle of a turnaround by new (ish) Exec so a buyer would wait (benefit of moving early limited). The other side of me has a read how undervalued UK stocks are and wondered if that placed HMSO in the attractive acquisition zone. Further I guess a takeout would happen around book value? Grateful for thoughts.

Open on Tuesday 18th is the milestone. More I reflect more I think whatever arrives on 18th will take some time to be absorbed / understood by market. Though I hope it will rocket : realism points me to a regain in confidence being established through consistent +ve updates. Which means I am getting myself comfortable for a longer investment horizon. Very keen for a heavyweight Chair to be appointed. I think this would elevate THG and MM.

Willing these results to simply advance on : I may project patience that doesn’t mean it sits well. I’m starting to think if results are +ve they’ll be a moderate uplift (was previously hoping for a double-bagger). The working theory is market doesn’t understand / like THG so whilst it may move +ve in response to results it will take time to readjust view. On the flip side (and wonky logic here) if results are in line or marginally below : I expect SP to be horizontal : for it’s priced in. The rocket launcher on this will be better Governance and a bold move to proceed by SoftBank. Fingers crossed.

Disagree. If THG want to be seen to be mature and more statesmen like then they will continue to focus on fine tuning their trading update and not responding to the whims of the market. To respond to hearsay is to feed it. We must all be patient. I am hoping for a +ve update. And perversely would actually lose a little confidence longterm if they rushed something out now. 7 trading days to results. Try not to be caught up in the circus.

I’m going 1st wk of March. On basis it’s probably read to release now : so they’ll take seven (!) weeks extra to fill the ‘administration’ boots. Hoping for +ve result, ellapsed interest and costs (!).

If I was in the THG strategy team I'd warn against early RNS. THG is viewed as juvenile and opaque. This clears by simply doing what you say you will. There's not reason other than panic to early RNS. I'm also concerned at significant share price drop but it is noise until results. I would be gobsmacked if the SP simply stayed where is was post update. It'll either fall or rise significantly (my view). I can't see (but continually get it wrong) why it'd continue to fall... I feel a lot of bad news is already built into the SP. Anyway trying not to get exercised by this. I am in until 18th (at least) and have already topped up (unfortunately a little early at 220 yesterday : hey ho).

I can't see this going private at much below the IPO. And I feel like all the bad news is out : most of it being confusion and for that THG are accountable. Resolving this is relatively easy : clear concise trading update on 18th. It's better communications. Separately, on performance, MM has nearly always nailed it and I expect performance to be in line or above market expectations. Icing on the cake would be a heavyweight Chair. Have about 1/10th of life savings in this at about 210 average : so also concerned with today. But don't see the point in selling until trading update. At worst 33% downside (say) : possible 100% upside through the year.

I will be waiting for the results : and trying my upmost not to be exercised by this 'volatility'. Few of us, I would think are invested for a +/-10% price movement. What is clear is this stock is not well understood by us (retail investors) or the 'professionals' and in this respect I do hope the trading update provides clarity : that in it's own right will have value ... let alone what I expect to be +ve results

I think we simply have to sit it out until results. Going to be a lot of noise until then. And to be fair we'll generate a lot of it. Results are the material news all are waiting for. 8 trading days to go.

Yes : that as it stands will be the ‘recommendation’ from Officers -but- it is for Members (ie Councillors) on the Planning Committee to determine (consent/reject/defer).

Too much uncertainty and I expect low footfall now esp. in F&B + cinema. As Omnicron passes : and it will - I think there’ll will be a return to shopping in person : if nothing else for the tactile nature of it. Feeling this is February ish. Awful as it sounds if the struggling retailers make way it will make for stronger and more vibrant ‘places’ in Spring / Summer ‘22 where I think spend will be high. Have helpful Q4’22 World Cup to add to spend later in year. I think HMSO a slow burn upwards.

I have found, in a very separate line of work, that binary decisions (accept/dismiss) are swift and the contentiousness is often short-lived. Determining a level of award esp. if there is repeated haggling can be drawn out for what feels like an eternity. I think we are in the latter of the two above. Simply on timescales. My concern is if one can obfuscate to Christmas, it doesn’t take much of a stretch to extend to Easter. At some point this must (said to oneself) must become an embarrassment for the Court? +ve award would be well received all round (Navitas / FIG / Navitas partners).
