That is correct, Ruck. I’ve obviously filtered out anyone claiming otherwise.
I find it interesting that some people insist on claiming right or wrong based on turning points that they can identify only with hindsight. eg I see elsewhere people saying “you should have sold at 29p” and ignoring the fact that actually such a price was never available for the size of many retail holdings, never mind institutional sizes. What would the point be, in terms of moving the P&L dial of eg Vulpes, if they had sold 50,000 shares at 29p and then bought them back at 14p?
The fundamental difference is this: traders generally assume that prices will trade around a mean and revert to it…..whereas buy and hold people assume that the share price will follow a long-term trend. With Scancell, I’m definitely in the latter camp - and comfortably ahead - but the same may not be true of those who bought much earlier or indeed much more recently.
