While what was said in the November remains true, we have certainty of a deal in Q1.
They would not have been able to release said RNS if they were full of ‘rose fertilizer’.

I remain hopeful/optimistic and can imagine reasons why the well-led board and excellent management are taking the deal to the RNS advised deadline.

I hope that all of the gainsayers will publicly apologise once the deal is done and JOG is significantly re-rated.

Dick, I agree wholeheartedly with your words " I'm surprised there isn't more excitement ahead of what should be game changing news".
We must be very close to 'game changing' news. Is it, perhaps a bit like waiting for the new of an exploration well where a promising result is expected? Share price often/usually ramps up in such circumstances.
The big difference in this case is that the oil is there and we are waiting for validation of its commerciality.

Total rambles doesn’t quite do Justice to some of the erudite rubbish that a few of us post on this and sometimes other boards. I think you miss the point. We write to entertain, amuse and distract ourselves. We guess, we pontificate and we hope.(some are accused of nefarious motives and some vent their dissatisfaction that their investment has not yet made the return they wished for.)
If you want non-rambling prose, I might direct you to the Company’s website to read the RNSs.

While I would like to remain optimistic on JOG, it is an awfully long , gut-wrenching delay since the RNS of 29/11.
I remind myself of part of that partially long-defunct RNS “…… we look forward to a successful conclusion if not by the end of the year then certainly in Q1 2023."
I think it’s about time for an update or explanation how and why the end of the year part of the statement became invalid and an update on current timing.
The first indication on timing did not eventuate, what confidence can we, or should we now have, on the ‘certainly in Q1’.
The lingering uncertainty, or doubt, must be the reason for the downward pressure on the share price.
Come on JOG Board, give us an update.

I understand that an RNS can and should only be released if there is news. I feel that investors are due an update on the reason for the 2 month delay from the first indicated date, together with an update on updated probable timing. I consider this to be worthy of an RNS.

My impression is that JOG is not a company, nor should it be a company, that issues RNSs to manipulate the share price.
We would all like the share price to be higher.
Today we have “hope” value. When the deal is done and the residual percentage held by JOG is known, together with the terms of the deal: cash received, funding requirement and sources , oil resource estimations to be brought on stream from which fields, date of first production etc. analysts will then be able to crank the handle on their models and come up with an estimated value per share. Hopefully it will be close to Dick’s £43 per share.
When the deal is done, there will be ‘real’ value and it will transform the shareholder- base of the company from us hopeful punters to a more ‘institutional’ representation and the price will, or should, reflect the increased value.

With all due respect FJ, the company would be required to make an announcement, if anything had materially changed from the RNS 29/11/22.
The fact that there has been no subsequent RNS must be taken to mean that statements made in the RNS are still valid.
You should not therefore expect a reply to your email.
