So the market and especially sharehoders are 'patiently' waiting for an official RNS when Victoria Balchin CEO (I believe) has flagged "...order for a multi-sit roll-out..." on Linkedin.

Positive company action, RNS today buyback news 'total of 2,500,000 of its ordinary shares', taking advantage of new year low prices.

It will be interesting tomorrow if the company boosts the share price by supercharging the volume of shares bought back and cancelled. Maybe 5 million shares bought back tomorrow or at least better than the Friday volume of total of 1,000,000.

Mark, I have not seen any details on how RR. would manage the payment of dividend. Their website does give some estimates for yearly DPS from 2024 to 2027, in the investor section for Aanalyst Consensus. DPS FY 2024 is estimated as 5.0p.

I do think it is safe to assume that RR. will pay a dividend. Re: use of 'if'. Mark, I think you need to assume some things in life and I believe this one.

This is the sentence from Daily Mail thought caught my eye, "A Rolls-Royce spokesman said: 'We have been calling for pace for several years now and have seen recent examples of decisions being taken quickly.'"

SMR is not in the Labour priority list, if it was a priority they would have already announced the winners of their SMR competition and announced £X billion has been set aside for this. Ed Stone had point 1 "A strong economic future". I wonder what he would now write on his stone as point 1 in his present role in government.

Yes, DonoLad I share your optimism about RR. and what might have been invested in UK SMR, but my confidence in the UK Government has been shattered the last few days. Maybe we will have a surprise and the government begin to take ownership of their decisions and the negative outcomes they have created. Then they might move forward and address the issue of investing in UK industry issues and promote growth instead of debt. What I have listened in the news today suggests that the Government want only to justify their decisions because of the past 'bad' government. They are are still behaving like an opposition party rather than a government taking the leadership decisions.

DonoLad: We already know that RR. will not be 'UK gain first mover advantage regarding RR SMR' because that position has already been taken by the Czech Republic CEZ energy company. At best the 'UK will be in catch up with CEZ if you can regarding RR. SMR' if they care to take a genuine interest in UK industry growth.

Yes PEAKDREAD RR. has genuine and sincere interest from Europe in their SMR. This cannot be said for UK in light of the Labour Budget. Labour is now in my view totally unpredictable and that Tufan cannot assume anything regarding UK government to help growth in UK industry. Reeves has been lightening quick to set aside £11.8 billion for blood scandal but no such support for UK industry. She just expects UK industry to fund the public sector which does not provide any growth prospects apart from increase in UK debt. Reeves is now under relentless attack for her first and I hope her last budget.

With Airbus share price rising it would great if Rolls Royce could mirror this positive rise. After all RR. revenues will increase when these new planes are flying.

Labour do see SMR as clean energy but they are rather 'slow' in taking decisive actions or decisions.
