Thank you Istabrraq for your post and your keen attention to detail. So one short went up and another went down by the same amount. Good observation. My view remains that shorts will probably increase on this share. Free travel for Ukrainians to leave their homeland since their homes have been blown up and they are refugees is not such a great free ticket. Unlimited, without time restictions, free ticket travel for Ukrainian soldiers on WIZZ aeroplanes returning to Ukraine in order to fight the Russians, would be supportive to Ukraine. Would WIZZ do this to support Ukraine?
Thank you LesMondo for the post. I read the article and found it very illuminating. The sentence that signals for me that Hungary is pro- Russian and anti Ukrainian is, "While Mr Orban has allowed NATO to station troops in the west of Hungary, he has forbidden any military consignments from crossing the country’s eastern border into Ukraine."
If the Russian tanks rolled into Hungary with the present Prime Minister in power they maybe welcomed as liberators to rekindle the Soviet Union. The article is strongly suggesting that Hungary is very much an established Russian satellite with Orban very cosy with Putin. This mirrors the approach taken by WIZZ with Hungarian Pro Russian CEO wanting to support resuming business as usual flights to the capital city of Russia.
Pedictable, increase in shorts on WIZZ by Millennium International Management LP and total is 3.73%.
See WIZZ short positions on LSE and monitor. DYOR.
The crazy Russian flights plan was a real PR blunder by the Hungarian CEO.
Thanks LesMondo for your positive reply, until your strong post, I was feeling a bit isolated and a distant voice writing anything negative about flights to Russia on this website.
Thank you Istabrraq for the good news.
The whole idea of resuming flights to Moscow was a complete Public Relations disaster and will have lasting damage to the reputation of the company. But it is good that the right decision has been made. However this company has flagged the Hungarian Company to be on the sidelines basically supportive of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. It has shown its main support is for Russia and this war is getting in its way to make profit. This company is not supportive of the Ukrainians. It has reacted to social media and calls to boycott the airline. The company has only reversed its decision because it lost potential new and existing customers from using their Company, WIZZ is now synonymous with Russian Carrier.
LesMondo: Well said 100% support your post and every word within it. I have posted ideas with similar vein. I want the company to reverse their plans to resume flights to Moscow. Clearly this company does indirectly support the Russian invasion of Ukraine and I find it strange it is even allowed to list on the London Stock Exchange, in a country that is supporting Ukraine with military as well as humanitarian aid.
I think this company should apply to be listed on the Moscow exchange where its true loyalties seem to reside.
Whether it is LT or RS elected on Sept 5th as the new Conservative Leader and the leader of the next government, inflation will be an issue whatever they decide to do on this small island we live on in the North Sea. Inflation is a global problem caused by and large trusting Russia had moved on from being the Soviet Union, when Putin wants to return to the past Stalin Soviet Union. I am sure either potential UK leader elected, will deal with helping the most vulnerable with their different philosophies of economics. Inflation will continue to be an issue in Europe especially because we need to redesign our plans for delivery of energy in light of being unable to trust Russia as a supplier of gas and oil.
We need an end to the war in Ukraine before inflation will begin the subside.
Thank you for your upside post Calder about SMRS. I just read the article in Mail online you flagged and it was a good read and upside thoughts for any RR. investors, this sunny Sunday morning. May the sun shine on RR. and all those that sail in her . I think it is good news that the potential new chancellor Kwasi Kwarteng could be a champion for RR. SMRs. I like his use of plural SMRs rather than Kwarteng suggesting a flagship SMR, he is suggesting flagships. Multiple SMRs are needed to be built in this country and then hopefully orders for more SMRs will come from abroad. CW1966 quite rightly points out the time frame issues.
This post concerns RR.
Red_inky I find your forecast is too dark and pessimistic. What do hope to gain from posting such a low share price and hold a long position? If the share price goes down you can of course buy in at a lower price with fresh cash or by trading 'some' or 'all' of your long position. In which case your stated long position morphs into a pseudo long position in support of all the companies with open short positions.
Next step: iParsnip, I suppose the best case is that CEO contacts Stock Exchange in order to suspend trading until further notice.
A responsible CEO would post an update RNS of what is happening to this company. In order to confirm or deny speculation. If the news in the public domain is correct then this share should be suspended from trading from Monday.
In reply to Solley1, I have already commented on the issue of Cine and had moved on, its another day.

Thank you casapinos for your crystal clear post about short interest positions. This has cleared up many misunderstandings I have had with this topic. Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed presentation.
I am sorry to any RR. investors for sidetracking away from RR. issues.
Yes Solley1, I agree with you buying has been strong intraday and selling has been weak. Although the UT was skewed in the sell direction, investors have been taking advantage of lower prices for whatever strategy or strategies they are operating. Some may have been disappointed and wanted a lower buy in price or even got the 81p. It will be interesting to see what happens on Monday. Maybe we will have some ITP or SMR news at the weekend or some more US defence contracts, who knows, the future can take care of itself.
MP Tobias Elwood has secured a Parliamentary debate on September 7 calling for the government to expediate this (SMR) game changing, world-leading UK initiative. So maybe SPC32 in September we will hear something positive that pushes ahead the development and installation of SMR or SMRs in UK. Energy will be a big issue for the new goverment and they need to get on with the issues that need creative solutions and make some decisions, or we maybe we will be using candles again this winter.
