CW1966 I am sure Truss does listen to the criticism but the Truss has dug herself into a position of encouraging growth to pay for the tax breaks and her team are fighting UK going into recession. If she fundamentally changes her 'tax break budget' then it could seriously undermine the tenure of her 'day job'. The Bank of England have not helped matters by holding onto low base interest rates far too long long and are now behind the US in deaing with inflation pressures. The problem with gilt prices may resurface when interest rates are put up at the next meeting or before.

PSK Thanks again. I was aware of this particular site but the key to me is knowing when these traders short at, which was a gap in my understanding. So combining the details from these sites give a valuable insight into the detail of short set. I will be most interested to see how these shorts play out.

Thanks for detail PSK on, "Kintbury and sandbar increased their short positions on the 28th both went short at 66.10p I hope they pay the price but they never do unfortunately".
How do you find out the price of the short? I find this so interesting and useful to be aware of.

Maybe Prawncurry RR.s 'rabbit out of the hat' will be another big contract such as to Replace aging Black Hawk. News is expected in the fall , October I think. I'm forever the optimist and look forward to reading positive Trading Update.

PSK Tomorrow is unpredictable like any other day.
All we know from today is that RR. has a better balance sheet than yesterday. So this has been a positive day for RR. even if the SP has little to show for it.

I agree totally with your post bvcxz70 and would like the disagreement resolved/terminated and returned to posts about RR.

Re: ITP the way I understand it, is that we await news and maybe next week RR. to state the closure of ITP sale.

Metom: It is a welcome development that the upside of the conflict in Europe appears for the moment to be with the Ukrainians.
As for RR. I think the issue of the potential closure of the ITP sale will have a bearing on how RR. SP moves next week.
Maybe as far as the world markets are going we are in an ephemeral bear market market rally.

Good morning SPC32: Yes Government will talk, but with strong support for SMR RR. from MPs like Tobias Elwood I think it will happen. Otherwise UK will be short of energy unless we switch back to using coal instead of gas to produce electricity. Arthur Scargill would like that but the climate change environmentalists won't.

Good morning Winstanley: maybe the key words adopted by the government in terms of action will be 'fast tracking' SMR and with the aim to reduce the timeline.

No1plasterer: For example, Swansea Bay - Tidal Lagoon Power is a such project that has been explored in South Wales. Which I think is a great idea but this project has failed to gain support from central government.
SMR RR. is a much more flexible solution to providing UK energy needs, with fewer constraints to where to site the station.
The country will need to use many different ways to generating electricty.
I sense you are rather anti nuclear energy.
