Are there other potential treatments due that use devices?

I see nothing unusual here. In fact, I now don’t expect any update on the trials until after the half yearly update is out of the way.

There really is some fragile folk on this board!

I worry so fragile that if SNG fails it’s trials we might see some people jumping off the nearest bridge. Anyway, another week looms and announcement(s) getting ever closer!

Yawn… up to 175p and down again! As said many times previously by me and others, until we hear news on the trials, this will be range bound.

I can’t tell from that article if they are talking about Molnupiravir or the “interferon” drug.

I said on Friday that it was mildly disappointing we didn’t break through 175p (on the bid at least). We e been stuck in this range now for some time. The market is saying it wants news before it moves significantly, either way.

Regarding whether or not SNG needs to raise cash, I honestly have no idea if they do or not. What I will say is that in my experience a company like SNG usually does. Even easyJet who were bleating on some time ago that they wouldn’t need to raise anymore cash, are now in the middle of a rights issue.

I think someone mentioned an accelerated book build. There seems to be a lot of this right now and wouldn’t surprise me. I wouldn’t be averse to putting more cash in, but I would want some kind of update from the company. It’s ok to shoot those down who are after one, as being impatient. But it really has been very quiet from them!

Redhill share price halved since mid August and down 35% today on back of that news. We can expect the same if SNG fails.

Joey, do you see this as bad news (as in it shows the difficulty in passing the trials) or good news (one less competitor)?

HelloSanDiego I am not a believer in charts but was thinking that if that RNS comes in on Thursday that I’ll have to swallow my pride and admit I’m wrong!

I feel similar. I typically refuse to put more than 10% of my portfolio in one stock but for the first time have breached that limit and pushed to 15% on SNG.

I do have some concerns that I’m getting carried away. I believe in SNG but also know that anything can happen and it is most definitely not a dead cert yet.

I think what Docdaneeka said earlier was right… wait to see if the trials are successful and then put every spare penny into it. Sure, the share price could instantly double on positive news, but it would likely do much more than that over time.

I don’t know if they’ll need to raise cash or not, but I can’t see them putting the cash call out until we have some news on the trials.

For me, I see the COPD opportunity as ultimately bigger than the Covid one. Big pharma’s would be willing to pay billions, maybe even 10’s of billions for something that cured or even helped with COPD. And as for Covid-19 disappearing, I am in the camp that thinks the world needs to move on… I know people close to me who have missed hospital appointments at great cost because of the lockdown and measures put in place to control Covid. But I digress… the point is, coronaviruses will always be with us, and if SNG can prove successful against all the variants, I’m sure it would help with Covid-20 or whatever number awaits us!

As for share prices, £10, £20, £50… it all seems achievable but at the same time also a bit unbelievable. Could we be that lucky?! I’m sure we’d all be wetting ourselves if it went to £3 and the temptation to sell and lock in profits would be huge. For me, if it hit £5-10 I’d probably sell half and just hang on to the rest until the endgame came.

Sometime people are accused of being trolls when I’m not sure they are. But JWD222, you most definitely are!

Charts may have a place for a company with steady earnings and growth, but I can’t see how they can be useful for a stock like SNG… the charts could predict £50, but if the trials fail then we’ll be lucky to see north of 50p.

Before the perma bull brigade come firing in, clearly I think the trials will be a success, and hence being invested. Albeit I am cautious because I’m historically not too good at finding a 10 bagger stock!

Great to see the share price move today. Slightly annoying it couldn’t break the recent months trading range of 150-175, but a good move nonetheless!

Been watching this stock far too much recently but I’m currently on my way to Scotland for a holiday. Away for a week and I’m sure they’ll be news (good or bad!) while I’m away!

Have to agree with Docdaneeka. Holgate, RM etc all have approx 1 million shares in SNG. If someone came in with a bid of £5-10, they can retire rich, happy and content that their creation has worked and is life saving.

Fascinating stats and a useful post, Docdaneeka. I didn’t realise quite so many large pharma’s drugs were bought up from the smaller pharma’s.
