RE: The small UK-listed drug developers set to benefit from the looming RSV vaccines' approval26 Feb 2023 18:10
Leroy, dead duck?
I was discussing Synairgen last night over a few beers on a sailing boat with my good mate Dickie who is HEAVILY involved with the company. I told him there are a lot of despondent people on the LSE BB who think it’s all over and he said something along the lines of:
“You’ve got to be kidding. They know we can’t discuss what’s going on behind the scenes but we’ve given them plenty of hints with the J&J/Janssen universal hook up, cos those guys are not going to fu4k around with a tiny British biotech just for some observational trial when they could do that themselves easier back in the much bigger US. Hell, we’ve even posted a senior job advert over in the US on hefty money in all the big J&J locations, even their f’ing headquarters in New Brunswick NJ where there’s only a population of 55k FFS.
We’ve been told to apply for strive but it’s pi55 take slow… only Shionogi are on it so far with big delays but we’ve been tipped the wink from the NIH who passed us through to P3 on the Activ-2 trial, but changes in SOC meant it was pointless continuing there. They can’t have been clearer though and said themselves “SNG001 merits further investigation”.
So yeah, I don’t know what other breadcrumbs we can leave lying around without us getting sent to jail.”
I’d had a few beers to could have misheard all of that.
