Why not? Nothing fundamentally has changed... we still don't have the LP. Sure, there's excitement, but only the LP will get this to 10p.

UWOS - I definitely didn’t get caught with my pants down. I took part in the raise at 2.5p and because I thought it would be massively oversubscribed, I put in a big order expecting it to be scaled back considerably. As it turned out, I got 70% of my order… nice, at 2.5p.

I seem to recall you telling everyone not to bother with the placing at 2.5p and to buy on the open market at nearly 3p?

All this talk of $100 barrel of oil talk but presumably the MG are going to want a slice of the pie. And we’ll have costs to get it out of the ground… we ain’t no Saudi Arabia that can get it out for $10/barrel.

Does anyone know what ultimately our margin and or costs are per barrel?

UWOS - you are correct, we do indeed have the asset of Heron with oil. Problem is, we don’t have the LP!

It’s a bit like having land in the UK but no planning permission to build a house on it.

You can repeat yourself as nauseum. Until we have that LP it means nothing. I sincerely hope we get it. It would be nice to have a winner for a change :D

The most important thing needed is still not in place. The LP.

Great to see back over 4p. Very happy but let's stay calm... until we get confirmed RNS'able good news, the SP could easily fall back. We need that RNS to properly underpin the SP.

Nus Ghani is a current and serving minister. FFS, if she's in the mix then surely to goodness the MG will give the LP to a UK listed company.

At a conservative P/E of 5x that equates to $570m market cap, or £475m at current market cap. Or in price terms about 40p per share.

But for now I’ll take 10p.

Regardless, I don’t think we are disputing there’s a lot of value here. IF IF IF that LP arrives.

iamrich - re the comment I have no faith… I don’t have blind faith. I think the MG would be crazy to not give the LP because who would invest into the country ever again. But I’m also conscious of the fact that brown paper bags are probably getting passed around so nothing is certain.

bigbench - I have to disagree on the limited downside comment.

If LP fails to materialise this year which, given the delays and false promises already, is not beyond the realms of possibility, and Velociraptor turns out a dud (an 80% chance of this let’s not forget) then this will trace back to a penny.

That’s lots of potential downside.

Before UWOS wakes up with his 5am list of positives, I’ll reiterate that I now have a decent holding here following the placing at 2.5p and would love 10p+, which I definitely see happening IF the LP comes soon.

In the interests of balance for any potential new investors, if LP issue drags on and Velociraptor is a duster, it's back to 1p.

MrCosts - lots agree with you that the comms are poor... I happen to be one of them. But what do you think repeating yourself here on an almost daily basis is going to achieve?
