I've posted several times why we're not a Flu trial candidate - why COPD is not at the top of anyone's agenda now, despite our useful late reported data, and how it would be witless to add SNG to the LC trial when the same data could be harvested via STRIVE.

Hardly disrespectful to debate where we are, how we got here, and possible routes forward. Rather more useful than constantly parroting the ambitiuous but unproven mission statement from the company's website, as you spend your time doing Manifesto.
Stick to what you do and leave others to do their thing. You could start by explaining the kind of JVs you imagine might be out there for SNG, who the partners might be and what the trials would be for. Then an analysis of how much equity would be surrendered in the process.

Well it's my opinion - and I'm certain of it. We know that post P2 is when most acquisitions/licensing deals are made by BP.
SNG had just shown the alarmingly good data just a month after Dexa's success. Long before hamsters had been asked to step off the wheel and into the lab to start making Mabs. And 4 months before any of the Vax companies announced their results. Do you really think BP didn't pick up the phone in that period when SNG was making global headlines ?
The rea;lity is that BP always wants a very big slice of the pie and having struck the motherload (to change metaphors) RM wasn't going to hand any of it over.

I'm certain Synairgen had partnership discussions in the period post-July 2020 but chose to go it alone . RM liked the David-Goliath narrative and wanted to keep the whole pie until trialing was complete. But they muffed the big one, and now their partnership position is at least 10x weaker than before the failure. Nobody who likes the drug and is prepared to support a P3 will move until we reach Feb 21st.

Mani it's called an idee fixed - and you're right - it is fixed for me.
It doesn't matter what our potential is for a host of other viral conditions/infections -and saying we're broad spectrum antiviral is a beautiful phrase - and it'll still be a beautiful phrase when it's etched on RM's headstone, but without one trial that succeeds and soon, none of it means a thing.
You start it off with one virus. And that virus is still Covid. It's where the panel discussion started and ended yesterday. Nothing except Covid (that we have a chance of joining anyway ) is funded. We can't afford to run our own trial for any of the other ambitions we might have - and if we did we'd have to go all th way to the bottom of the snake first, but we ARE almost proven for C-19.
That's why i'm stuck on it. If we don't get it the drug will be in other hands within 6 months and I'll be leaning out of my car window as you offer me the card reader and ask "do you want any sauces with that ? "

Shame we lost the whole of yesterday's thread. I'm more positive about it today than i was immediately after watching it. The main negative was that PM is not going to be up for any debating soc awards this year. But we knew this anyway. The main positive was that the discussion was about the need for SNG001. They didn't mention it by name but in describing the fragility of the current Covid situation and dwindling supply of monoclonals - and then looking forward to a world beyond covid and prepping for the next serious viral attack - plus then describing the non covid landscape where 100s of thousands of people will be hopitalised with a viral respiratory infection this winter alone - they were describing the need not just for more therapeutics but specifically for SNG001.
For whatever unfathomable reason they failed to lay the table properly for their audience - whether assuming that everyone knew this panel was specific to Synairgen's drug, or for some hidden meaning that can only be guessed at - but as a result any new viewer would have been left wondering exactly what our tongue tied CSO and the 3 articulate participants, ( for the moderator was excellent too and made a very nice speech in support of our drug at the end ) were talking about. What better time could there have been for PM to quickly run through the many important discoveries of the last 2 years - and then add in the extra new detail from COPD that support the broad spectrum narrative. ? We may never know.
Rick Bright and Dela Cruz were excellent and the former in particular carries huge weight in the right circles.

This was a pitch to STRIVE first of all - and possibly then to BP for support. And if it was odd in many ways - it was still a useful contribution.
Most of us believe we do not at this moment have a trial. PM's remarks about the difficulties of finding one - and a big enough trial (highlighting what I've said for a very long time that this must be circa 1000 ) made our hearts sink. He doesn't have a poker face, and we'd have seen if he was hiding something that might be imminent.

All of the flimflam and junk on here is irrelevant. STRIVE is underway and its funding is secure. Covid is the door that unlocks everything else and SNG is still an outstanding candidate for a place. That's all there is for now.

Whatever PM's skillset we're still in the same positiion we were in before the panel sat down - as Td said last night. Obviously not on a trial but still with a very good case to make for those running STRIVE. Which was hopefully strengthened a little by Dela Cruz and Bright's contributions. This depends to some extent on whether Bright has any remaining and influential connections within NIH - any friends. His concluding statement - again without mentioning the drug itself - made clear that he believes SNG should be supported urgently. " it's a question of when - not if" a new and deadly vsriant or virus emerges and the cupboard is almost bare.

Moderators - get a grip. Delete offensive posts or those that break the house rules but don't wipe out entire conversations.

Masterclass from Messi. Lost sight of his genius in his move to PSG and all the nonsense that surrounds him but he's the greatest player of our age. Probably impossible to compare with that other great Argentinian, Maradona, whose close control was also sublime and played in the age of hatchetman defenders and won every glorious yard with blood - but defnitely far beyond the skills of the preening ponce Ronaldo. My top 3 is Messi/Maradona and Pele with Zidane just behind and Ronnie trialing in after the cameras have been turned off and everyone's gone home in 5th place.

There's never been a more important and influential character sharing a panel with our CSO or anyone else from Synairgen. They say it'll be live streamed so we'll be able to gauge his level of interest and potential support in a few days time.

When i say dubious i of course mean just regulation to.ssers and losers - I've seen nothing worse than this and would suggest that the continuous and repeated references to obscene things that the posters have zero evidence for is not taking the moral high ground, but dragging the conversation to new lows.
