"A collaborative trial with a partner, under the right terms, would be just as advantageous." the only way you get a collaborative trial under the right terms is if you are the senior partner in the collaboration.
Any JV would inevitably be made at a huge disadvantage to shareholders for this reason. We do need STRIVE, or RECOVER.
The wording of the last RNS or tweet (can't remember which) removed that ridiculous (if and and when appropriate) parenthethetical caveat. A Covid PT has always been the best way forward, particularly as the one in discussion is run by the same hugely resourced body that accepted SNG onto the Activ programme and was ready to progress it further on that path until Omicron emptied the hospitals. We have to believe the recent US appearances are all in support of our application to join this platform - and we know that Sprinter's deep dive showed we have better credentials than the drug that lauched the programme.
Obviously if we don't get STRIVE, but instead learn that something really clever has been happening elsewhere and the company is still able to move forward that's cool too, ( even if it takes longer and cost us more ) but NIH is still the gold standard and its STRIVE programme undoubtedly the best way forward for SNG and Synairgen.
