And the insabity is fast coming our way, as sheople continue to believe without question everything they're fed by organisations like the BBC (it isn't called the British Brainwashing Corporation for nothing) and all the other lefties; the elite; and clueless, unprincipled politicians, who'll say and do anything to win the vote of the dimwitted masses. It will be too late when the latter start to realise how much worse off they are and the number of things they were able to enjoy, before the pleasures were denied them in the interests of a global hoax.
I'm not the madman here, btw. The facts - many based on unbiased study of 4.6bn years of the earth's history, before our species arrived on the scene - are there to back up what an increasing number of
Greener, your views are always sound, but I am at odds with you re the effect Keir Stoma's crippling taxes (I won't call them WFTs because they're not - his proposals would amount to backdoor nationalisation of the UK oil industry without compensation) will have on JOG. I believe tax will have a significant effect on JOG's future. It isn't that many years until Buchan/J2 will be in production and from that point on it will be impossible not to attribute fair value to JOG's shares. This is because, at last, there will be a real income stream, leading to a bottom line profit that will indicate the % return achieved, based on current SP. The above uses post tax numbers, so the more tax that's paid in tax, the less return that's measurable. Many other negative factors also come into play, not least the ability to invest for the future denied by theft (via taxation) by the Government.
The above will all be presented as "fair" and not only in UK sheeple's best interests, but also those of the planet - nay, the universe - all being put under threat by a potential increase in CO2 of a few hundred ppm as a result of carbon emissions. No-one is saying there isn't gradual warming of the atmosphere in the present mini-cycle - just that it isn't caused by anything humans are doing. At the core of the argument is that the atmosphere is a poor storer of the sun's energy, which is mostly stored in the oceans. I have known since I was about 12 (because I have always been interested in meteorology) that weather (not to be confused with climate) patterns follow ocean flows. A 1°C increase in the temp of the N Atlantic (doesn't happen in the short term) would have a profound effect on UK weather. Knock a big hole in the Isthmus of Panama? Goodbye Gulfstream, hello seriously frosty UK winters.
Just saying.........
