Chris - he was on BBC Breakfast. I guess best way is catch up on iplayer. He was was on around 8.15 to 8.20 approximately.

He was very upbeat and clearly talking specifically about our test. He added we didn’t need the antibody Test quite yet - the need will come - because it’s still early in the pandemic.

National Testing Co-ordinator just talking on BBC Breakfast. Some very encouraging comments re our antibody Test. He specifically mentioned the UK-RTC and said exciting developments and innovation in the pipeline. He said the rapid POC test should be available be end May/early June in line with previous comments. He sounded very confident.

Silverback boy, by all means post counter arguments against the (massive) bull case here but for me, if you want to be taken seriously you need to get your facts straight. He didn’t say they hadn’t made any orders. He said he couldn’t confirm if they had. That was the classic politicians bodyswerve response - to neither deny it or confirm it. He had the chance to confirm no but he didn’t.

Mr dt, the 46,000 tests per day you are referring to are for the Mologic Elisa Lab Test. That is a completely different test to the one discussed in the DM article which is a rapid point of care test. Don’t get the two confused!

Currently ODX have interests in two different tests:

1. An antibody test that is examined in the lab to obtain the results (Mologic)

2. A rapid POC test that is being developed through the UK RTC

I hope that finally clears this up because it’s becoming a bit exasperating reading so many posts by people who comment on stuff they clearly don’t understand and haven’t researched yet

Yes, my view is let’s tone down some of the wild predictions. Don’t get me wrong I’m as excited as anyone else and this is fantastic news. However, I’ve also been in this investing game long enough that you can rarely predict with any accuracy what the price will do. The price will do what the price will do. I don’t know what it will do!

Trouble is if you start plucking big targets out the air you’ll end up disappointed. And we don’t want to be disappointed do we. At some point - maybe very soon - we might cross £1 but let’s just cross each bridge as we come to it.

In a bull market they say it constantly climbs a ‘wall of worry’. That, in part, is represented by nervous investors, doubters and derampers here. If the nervous investors can keep a calm level head they’ll be ok. For the doubters there is a decision to be made. They are interested, that’s why they’re here. But there is a danger they will procrastinate for too long and will miss the main chunk of the rise. Everyday it will go up more and they may think that’s it it’s gone up too much, I’ve missed out anyway. And then it’ll go up again and they will recycle the same thoughts. For the derampers it’s an even more sorry tale. They are plagued by a negative confirmation bias. Always looking for anything that might mean this won’t work. They are destined to miss out for sure. I have been trying to help but there are none so blind as those who cannot see.

Trek - firstly Mologic are NOT part of the UK-RTC. Mologic are making the ELisa Lab Test. UK-RTC are making the POC Test.

Secondly, the article in the DM specifically states that the new test has been adapted from an existing HIV POC test. The ONLY company in the consortium that makes such a test is ODX. It is called the Visitect CD4 Test. Research it. It measures the number of CD4 cells in the blood which is an effective way of measuring severity of the HIV Virus in HIV patients.
