Hypothetical scenario - in the event that, say, the UK govt did not buy the Mologic - ODX Elisa LAB test (I am NOT) talking about the rapid at home POC test) there will be absolutely nothing stopping them selling this test elsewhere in the UK and all over the globe.

And actually the very same applies to the Rapid POC test as well. ODX have already clearly demonstrated they can produce their Visitect rapid POC test and sell it for around $5 per test and still make a 60% margin! They are already selling that test in Africa and are in the process of obtaining WHO prequalification for it which is confidently expected later this year. They would have had it by the middle of this year had it not been for the pandemic which has slightly delayed it.

ODX have quality pedigree in this area. (of infectious disease testing) It is utterly stupid to dismiss them.

So what I am saying is that even without the government consortium, should it not come to pass, this company have more than ONE iron in the fire.

Yes he hasn’t posted since 5th. I thought by his posts he was having a bit of a wobble. We are at a critical moment and theres been lots of negative noise and it’s easy to get sucked into that. But there’s no doubt the tone of his posts changed noticeably. No problem can and does happen to the best of us.

Look there’s no denying that it’s been the worst day for a while. Nearly 10% down. Impatience has caught up on some. There was expectation of a further RNS and it hasn’t dropped yet.

BUT significantly volume was low, the lowest probably for weeks. So that’s telling - NO big sell off happening. Just MMs able to ease it lower to try and stoke demand.

We still have so much news to come. I have a feeling something quite unexpected may be announced as well as Mologic, design freeze etc. Those who are deramping your case is not proven at all. The government have not changed course. If they abandon their current five pillar strategy I think they lose all credibility.

Anyone who thinks ODX are not still well in the game are seriously mistaken. How many times have I seen a SP drop just before important news.

I think if no RNS tomorrow morning, and the market isn’t now expecting one, we will slip lower in the morning but it seems implausible that with the govt announcing exit plan on Sunday we will not see a strong finish tomorrow in anticipation.

All to play for still.

3% stake under or over is the threshold for declaring on RNS. But if you go from say 5% to 2.5% you only need to declare <3%

Leddach Jack - looks like the market has decided no announcement tomorrow. So can sell off and buy back later tomorrow because I will be gobsmacked if an RNS doesn't drop on or by Monday.

They're pulling out all the tricks. Quite obvious they are short of stock. Seen it all before.

Storey - the thought did cross ones mind since they are looking for a partner for rapid POC test. We know someone don't we?

I have emailed Colin to alert him although my guess is he will already be aware. But just in case.

Cyrox, that is a very interesting research find, thanks for sharing. I am not going to pretend to know or even understand what the guy is writing on a technical level but one thing does come across, he is genuinely excited!

It does seem to have a certain similarity to the Avacta Affimer and we all know the excitement that has generated but clearly the next step is they need, and are looking for, a partner.

Elon - perhaps you are unaware that despite the lockdown Omegas operations at Alva remain uninterrupted. Indeed they have expanded operations. Non ops staff are working from home where necessary in office. Social distancing measure are in place. The company is operating ‘normally’ so no reason why we would have to wait until next week for news. HTH

We’re not STILL having to spell out the difference in the two tests, Mologic etc honestly the quality of ‘investor’ on some of these boards is really poor.

Urraca - I have no idea why some RNS’s don’t show on LSE. One of the mysteries of life. I normally use investegate for my stock market announcements.

Keeping a close watching brief here.

Cyrox - investment companies normally determine their value by the total combined NAV (net asset value) of their invested companies. I assume they can monetise that value by divesting their stake. They may receive dividends as income if the company is generating cash. If you check the company accounts (BS) that should tell you the NAV.

You see shortter I used to employ that thinking too... ie."diversify" but I have modified my thinking. I listened a lot to Mr Buffet and his sidekick and they believe the whole 'diversification' thing is basically crap. Its something thats sold to you by the industry - to 'reduce risk'. The general consensus in the investing industry is you should hold around 10 stocks in your portfolio. Buffet and co hold no more than THREE stocks in their PERSONAL portfolio, not their BH portfolios. They do not believe you HAVE to hold more than three stocks provided that you have researched the company, you understand what they do and you KNOW the market value of the stock ie.it is undervalued by the market when you buy it.

So that is my philosophy in a nutshell now when I invest. But not so much when I trade, other factors come in there!

ODX was never a trade for me always an investment and, unless it goes back under 11p I will be in (paper) profit.

I agree The-Hat it looks good but with all due respect now this is the ODX board and this little baby has plenty going for it too. It hasn't even got started yet ;)

TBF I think GDR looks a very interesting stock (I don't hold any currently). I will research i further. Certainly not going to diss it.

But our focus is on ODX and what awaits us here. For now perhaps GDR has run up as far as it can go but certainly not ODX.

At the end of the day FC it matters not a jot what people say on Twitter. You know that right? It's just noise.

What matters is what the company announce and it must be oh so close now.

smokinjoe - its not us (it's NEVER us is it!) its another company with another lab test selling to other countries.

Sell on (no) news RNS and disappointment not the RNS people looking for thats all.

Doesn't mean this is out of the game though.

I'd suggest this guy on twitter needs to be careful making comments like that. He could get in trouble for market abuse or such like. I stand by what I said Colin would NOT say something like that because it is blatantly price sensitive.

As it happens you can see nothing is happening to the SP.

I would NOT believe for one second the comments made on Twitter this morning. The comments made, if they were true, would make the price go crazy here and CK could be in trouble for doing so. I have had contact by email with Colin before and there is NO way he would provide that kind of price sensitive information to someone. No way.
