Wouldn't take a blind bit of notice what he says. Apparently after only just a few weeks and we are hardly into this pandemic yet he compares Covid 19 to the Dot Com bubble. What utter and complete tripe proving he hasn't got a clue. To try and compare the two is nonsensical but if he wants to miss out hey who's anybody else to stop him?

I wonder how many Phlebotomists there are in the UK? Perhaps the expert ‘Scharnhorst’ can tell us as he seems to be ‘in the know’ on govt policy. if he wants to be right, he's going to have to recruit many more thousands more phlebotomists. And Open up hundreds more laboratories (all equipped with expensive Roche platforms of course). That’s all. Simple eh ‘Scharny’?

Ah yes ‘Scharnhorst’. I was wondering when it would pop up again. Still trying to contain my laughter from his last ‘Strong Sell’ recommendation (after he sold out) in the mid thirties. The price subsequently almost doubled.

I should have added that this comment by the CEO of one of the four RTC companies was made just 2 days ago. So nothing has changed. No change of course. On schedule. Everything falling into place.

I really think that last week was the final opportunity to get in cheaper and to load up at lower prices as much as you wanted. I’m not saying the RNS will drop on Monday but it’s over a month now since the announcement of the formation of the RTC. I think ODX will be ready to provide an important update some point next week. And then all the hot air about the government changing course, lab tests instead of POC, Roche, the reliability and S&S will not be good enough. All of that will be blown out of the water once and for all.

For those that are unaware BBI Solutions are one of the four companies in the UK-RTC along with Abingdon Health, CGI and, of course, last but very definitely not least our own Omega Diagnostics.

Earlier this week BBI were featured on BBC with their CEO stating the Test should be ready for roll out by June. But within the thread he is asked if the test will be rolled out to the general public. Here is his reply:

I think the article from Royal Marsden is very confusing. In one sentence it talks about establishing the use of a rapid POC antibody Test and in the next sentence it specifically mentions Mologics Elisa Lab Test. These are two entirely different tests.

That said, it is still POSITIVE for ODX.

Hi Jimzi, nice to see you here and thanks, yes Burnet and ODX collaborated to design the unique Visitect CD4 rapid POC Test and 100% licensed to ODX. I am quite sure ODX’s experience and expertise in this area has been invaluable in the creation of a new rapid POC Antibody Test for Covid-19. And, as you can see from the Burnet site they are also working hard to do the same. It would not surprise me if they (Burnet) came up with something that trumps the rest. In that event would they partner up with ODX again, using that long established relationship? All hypothetical atm I know but worth keeping in mind.

I'd bet we'd be gobsmacked if we knew what was going on behind the scenes at ODX and the RTC right now as well as Mologic. And don't forget the dark horse Burnet Institute which most relative newbies here will probably be unaware of. ;) I'm not going to tell you all about it I suggest you research them and their LONG relationship with ODX. Like I said maybe plenty more shots at goal. ;)

Wondergoals- yes that’s pretty much my take on it. And why would they create the position and why would this guy take it on if he didn’t think anything worthwhile to come of it? It’s not as if He doesn't already have a full time job elsewhere.

It's really important if we post stuff here it is factually correct to the best of our knowledge.

Merchantbanker - we did indeed and as confirmed by no less than Colin King himself in the press release by their landlords.

HOWEVER I am absolutely certain that ODX won't leave it there. I am sure they are looking at every possible avenue to scale up manufacturing capacity further - 100% certain. The opportunity is there in plain sight.

The UK-RTC consortium’s leader, Jonathan Allis, told the Mail on Sunday: “We are close to picking up 100% of all cases where people have antibodies. Now it is just a question of scaling up the manufacturing process.”

Doesn't that sound like confidence to you?

It's important to point out that Jonathan Allis (a big figure in the world of UK diagnostics) was only appointed Chairman of the UK-RTC on 1st May, just six days ago. This IS an important development. It means that far from nothing happening or that the government are edging away from the home antibody test strategy it is actually moving ahead.

His role will be as an independent liaison between the consortium and the UK government.

flyingmachine - yes and on your final point - exactly - and that's why I think this Sundays announcements by Boris could be absolutely key to us here - short term at least, though it def won't be our only shot at goal. Originally we were told the announcement by Boris was going to be earlier in the week, I think Tuesday was mentioned but then put back. Wouldn't he just love, after having shown such enthusiasm for it to stand up and tell us that they had a developed a home grown suitably reliable easy to use antibody test to roll out to the masses. After all the mistakes and **** ups with PPE and Chinese tests.

Is that why they delayed it for a few more days. because they just needed some more data to drop rather than because the overall exit plan wasn't in place yet? We will find out soon enough.

I would imagine that since such an agreement is in place and applies to ODX and their consortium partners then it could also work in reverse. In other words the manufacturer is subject to certain elements of confidentiality regarding any agreements/orders placed with the UK government?
