If anyone was ever in any doubt that this market is ‘rigged’ then today is surely your final proof.

Yesterday the price rose by 0.3p on decent-ish volume, around 5 million. Not huge but enough to get the price up a bit.

Today, ahhh today we are back down to where we started yesterday morning, 0.3p but this time on a measly 600k shares traded! How can this be justified when you see the respective volumes?

Do I need to say anymore. If you win in this market you are beating a system that is massively rigged against you so beware! MM’s can ‘manipulate’ a stock according to their position in the market. They are taking it down today because they can and the objective is to stimulate demand because demand gives them their bucks not the price itself.

What’s the point in emailing they can’t and won’t tell us anything remotely useful.

Yes whoever does cheques these days anyway! FWIW surely the simplest and most efficient mechanism would be a special dividend.

Anyway never mind all that let’s actually see the SP rise first a bit! Same old story being walked down again from the ‘high fives’ on extremely low volume. Tedious….

Double the price is 64p and treble is 96p. There is a big valuation difference between the two which suggests to me you are simply plucking numbers out the air.

ButlerMan - no you're not missing anything. My observation was just that, an observation rather than a view. It all comes down to demand. When GGP experienced its meteoric SP rise last year it was largely RETAIL driven there were no major institutional investments. As the end game for Bushranger is a sale then, as you say, this will be determined by how much the buyer is willing to pay. But don't forget this is not a take over and the Bushranger asset is just one asset amongst a number of assets that XTR possess which ultimately could form an overall valuation for the SP.

Xeiger - and there lies the rub because I have seen an interview with Colin (around or just over a year ago admittedly) where he was very clear - XTR is a retail stock for retail investors. The question had been put to him whether to go for a broker that will bring in institutions and he rejected the idea. Maybe things have changed a bit now and he might feel differently?

Excuse me for chipping in re your question on the NASDAQ. I suspect the thinking is that US investors would place a much higher value on Angle shares than the UK market does. And if you look at valuations of diagnostic companies in the US that is certainly true. However, for me the question is IF AGL were to list on the NASDAQ what happens to the UK AIM listed shares because a US NASDAQ listing would be 'fresh' money raised by the company in such a listing and, as such, is effectively dilution so would it have the desired effect of raising the UK valuation? Hmmmm I'm not so sure. I suppose it depends how its done but if you look at the example of DDDD its not turned out well for shareholders. At 4d you were able to exchange your AIM shares for NASDAQ ADS and ever since that mechanism kicked in guess what the AIM DDDD SP has sunk. I'm not saying that is what would happen here but its worth bearing in mind.

Prof Conroy says a lot of things and when he says they will be moving at a much greater pace I don't hold a lot of stock in that (if You'll pardon the pun ;)). Prof Conroy is no longer in control of events. It will be Demir pulling all the levers regardless of what Conroy says. They are the senior partner with all the dosh. They can take it at their pace whatever that may prove to be. Hopefully, for CGNR shareholders they will give it a priority but there are no guarantees. We have heard all about the upside but that is the possible downside to a JV in this situation

I don’t think the regulatory matter ie.licence transfer has diddly squat to do with price movement today. I think it’s a given anyway and when it arrives it won’t receive a market fanfare. It’s clear the market accepts the JV is (FINALLY) happening.

The question now is what next? We need some detail in terms of the plan for this year. Have they developed a drill plan? I seem to recall Conroy should receive £1m in cash on JV completion? Could that be used to get some drilling going in Finland I wonder?

This is actually classic modern day market phenomenon. Sell on news. It is better to travel than to arrive… ;)

One other point on the regulatory consent for licences etc. I VERY much doubt that Demir would’ve signed up if this was anything other than a formality. Checking this out would’ve formed part of their DD one would think? And also worth noting that Ireland is a mining friendly jurisdiction. So I don’t regard that as an issue.

Is it the 9.35% drop in SP? And don’t tell me you were expecting this once the JV was inked?

Actually the project phase 2 has been run in a very efficient and cost effective manner ….. currently $600k UNDER budget so please no more posts until you’ve got yourself up to date. You can lose credibility on bb’s with loose off the cuff statements and posters here know their stuff on this board ok?

Not only would it add a lot of tonnage to the deposit but it would also underpin the assay results that now come in with 0.2-0.4 Cu grades as previously these have been essentially received by the market as borderline or non-economic in terms of SP response. And we know that is partially a lack of understanding of porphyries but also the way the information has been communicated.

I am hoping that all in all we are starting to see a recognition of what this company has and a rerating of the shares as investors grow in confidence.

One of Colins best interviews I would suggest and in no small measure achieved by the interviewers themselves who guided it along nicely. But Colin was on good form, measured, confident and importantly, very clear. I don’t think there was any ambiguity for the market to procrastinate about there. The placing concerns have been all but put to bed. The project has been very well managed and why should we doubt it won’t continue to be.

So very happy and excited about prospects for the first half of this year - both in Australia and also Africa.

Bid and Offer are now edging up again after the little flurry of opportunistic’profit taking’

I’ve been accumulating here. Seems pretty reasonable value at this price. If it weakens any further I’ll probably add further and average down. Long term it’s hard to see this staying this low with gold @ $ 1800 and assuming production is reasonably stable. Plus the exploration upside is certainly there too…

I agree, this stock is leaky and this is bearing all the hallmarks of an intraday RNS. The brakes really are off this morning and it looks like a HNY for shareholders.
