The *anker is back
They get paid over at KDR too GB
Thank you FV. I have no comment on Finland, but generally diamonds are a mugs game imo. As to NI, it was close enough to "home" that I decided to do some brief (30 minute) research. Even as a lay person, from the Dr Hulbert website and open source maps etc. it was very clear to me that KDRs NI assets are purely speculative and the potential is underwhelming. I've put my reasons out here and all can take or leave them as they see fit. Meanwhile CGNR actually has some tangible assets, and I'd hate to see dilution, or loss of focus, chasing fantasies.
My views would be no different if the two companies were completely unrelated. I just hope our management isn't wasting too much of their (unpaid?) time on KDR.
The prof has already said in an interview that there are succession plans.
I doubt these negotiations can be rushed. My biggest worry is that they are holding out for some stellar deal that they won't get. They need a JV partner to advance. If they get a reasonable offer they should take it.
Also I believe they should give an update soon, even if it is a bit vague. Communication with shareholders has been appalling as usual.
Surely we should have some sort of update by now...its not like the Prof has time on his side....any thoughts on what will happen once he is no longer with us, maybe some significant progress?
Can you read?
Goldbug is the one saying that kdr assets are worthless junk and you have a dig at me? It seems like you are the one that missed the point. Goldbug you might as well carry on saying that kdr is junk then. No pleasing some people.

FV: it's a forum, with due respect you are not the moderator, and we are all entitled to our opinions.
And mine is: CGNR should not be holding any KDR stock, although I appreciate it may have been the only way to recover outstanding debt, and the recent migration of KDR shareholders onto this board to peddle their early-stage and highly speculative "assets" into the JV mix, presumably to help bolster their catastrophic SP, needs to be called out for what it is.
Could we just park the war of words between kdr and cgnr. They have diamonds, we have gold. Should have stayed as one company in my opinion. We both need a JV partner.
MrD: you are missing '000. That's only 120 tonnes, Lumwana produces 120,000t Cu. That won't be found in NI which hosts neither IOCGs nor porphrys for reasons I explained in an earlier post. If Barrick do a deal, it will be with CNGR for the gold, not KDR for some fantasy Pt-Ni-Cu. They turned down buying Grasberg ffs.
For now, though, Barrick has drawn a blank in the M&A market. Instead, Bristow has focused on improving the operational performance of Barrick’s existing copper mines, such as Lumwana in Zambia, which at 267,000 pounds last year accounted for roughly half of Barrick’s copper output.
For now 🇮🇪🤔
Northern Ireland Kdr

Selflessly warning others.
You’re welcome.
Brainless too. Wasting time posting about a company they clearly don't want to invest in.
I know you miss me if I stay away too long x
Checking the cgnr board constantly. A truly pathetic *anker
Surprising that Barrick CEO Mark Bristow found time to break away from CGNR dealmaking to negotiate with Mali, where Barrick's mining operations contribute a mere 5-10% of GDP.
Roll on JV news. So boring having all these comments from people who aren't invested. You lost money, move on.

Now that’s funny. Nobody gonna lend money at more than they can buy the shares on open market for. Mind you, as Tim nice but dim is their only hope, he may actually be that dim.
Dumb f**k
Trouble is, you've been wrong along.
If you're not a shareholder why would you care?
