Employers who are currently testing employees on a weekly/bi weekly basis would welcome this as a potentially cheaper and more efficient alternative. A confirmatory antigen can always be carried out if required. I maybe barking up wrong tree but think lots of potential for this as well as the many other products they have and are developing.

Yes you may have started to develop antibodies therefore it can get picked up with antibody test but also likely to be picked up with antigen test as well. Re reinfections only seen the hong kong case as being evidenced. Most of rest likely cause is poor test quality.

The SP drop has more to do with market sentiment re Covid rather than contents of the RNS. The level of both antigen and antibody testing that will be required in the coming years is massive, I know people are cynical about the Govt moonshot aspirations but the reality is testing is required at these levels to keep on top of covid. ODX has a suite of high quality tests that will support, along with others, to ensure this aspiration is delivered in the coming months.

We know what the ODX capacity is a min 2m a week. Does anybody know what the capacity is for the other members, BBI, Abingdon and Ciga? My feel is they are smaller than ODX but I have no idea really. Just trying to get a feel for what the Max is that RTC could produce if asked.

If young children are very unlikely to suffer badly from covid it begs the question why test them using an antigen test? Tests whilst in short supply should surely be prioritised? Yes it means parents and children woyld need to quarentine for two weeks! However antibody tests start detecting antibodies 5 days after symtoms appear, my question is why not provide an antibody test at say day 5 and day 7 if positive on one occassion stay in quarentine for another 7 days. If not back to school day 8, if a child had cold they would probably be off 5 to 7 days anyway. As an interim measure sounds like a plan. Happy for logic to be shot down.

Well if it takes 10 days to deliver the antigen result a 10 minute antibody may have a place as an alternative! Seriously there is a rationale to do both as when viral load reduces someone infected may test negative but could be picked up by antibody test. BMJ indicated this a day or so.
