Upomega you are correct you can only truely short by borrowing shares from a broker. Most PI's are unable to access these shares. Spread betting and CFD's is effectively a bet on a share rising or falling, these transactions have no impact on share price. Shorting of shares can impact a shares price as they are selling real shares and may drive price down. Share shorting is banned in many countries not the UK unfortunately on the basis it provides liquidity and reduces spread. Should be banned in my view as SP can be manipulated. Do not think it happens much on aim but does in main markets.

Mologic provide the materials and know how to enable ODX to manufacture the various tests, except the RTC one. We have not seen the detail re the MTA as yet but suspect that they will prioritise sales for low and middle income countries. Re the RTC we need to await what the UK govt want, we do know that they are planning to produce upto 200k tests a week for them and the CEO is in discussions re final volume and price. We may not have capacity to supply to US and do Mologic as well, as demand will be high we need to wait and see.

Piper unless we get a vaccine or therapeutic treatments we will be social distancing for some time. We could go down the route of mass antigen testing once/twice a week, like premier league does for players, then yes we can do away with social distancing to keep virus suppressed at low levels, otherwise social distancing a major mitigation tool. Agree antibodies will provide resistance to reinfection never doubted it, not heard of a virus that does not provide immunity for a time, it could be many more months/years till we find out for how long.

I do not believe the market for Odx products are for individuals, its for governments to purchase at least initially. Low to mid income countries in the main. As for the UK the govt have significantly played down immunity passports because it will affect peoples behaviours, social distancing masks etc. Longer term yes but not in near future, I could be wrong but lets see when sales start arriving. The use of antibody tests is for epidemiology studies nothing else. These studies are to try and answer the many unknown questions re this virus. Take for example asymptomatic infections how infectious are these individuals. We know age and comorbities seem relevant to mortality rate but we do not know how many have had mild doses of the virus and why is it genetic, enviromental or what. This information is required to put in place mitigating strategies and will potentially help help identify therapeutic treatments. Odx has a range of products to support these objectives worldwide not just the RTC .

The antigen test is forecast for October/November time for the Elisa test and Dec/Jan for the LF test. It is unlijely people in the UK will be able to access tests for their own use due to fears re behaviours.

Dido was pessimistic re antibody testing because govt do not want immunity passports yet. I doubt when millions are tested they will be told they have immunity as this may cause changes in behaviour of people. Also nobody yet knows and will not do for some time, how long immunity lasts. The real use of mass testing is to help the science of managing the disease by finding who has had it, effects they had and try and establush what groups are impacted severely, age is an obvious one but other issues such as co morbidities, enviromental and genetic factors may also impact and a lot less is known about this. Antibody testing teaches you about the enemy and subsequently the best ways of defending against it. Approval is getting closer, understanding of why antibody testing required, public awareness are all good. Off subject a bit but the mass antigen study in Southampton being planned, uses a salvia lab test which highlights the size the market could become so Odx well placed to provide these as well as lots will be required not just in UK. Interesting times.

Dibeg if the first half of your post relates to me then think we said the same thing roughly except layoffs bit. Regular and reliable services is how you encourage people to use buses. The risk remains though until govt announces that this support is to continue. Why would I short a company I have held shares in for many years, the Sp will go up when support announced how far depends on lots of factors sale of NA assets and value achieved will be crucial to Sp medium term.

For me its about subsidy levels, FGP have made it very clear they are vulnerable. The furlough scheme runs out soon, the idea that passenger numbers will be anywhere near normal by Oct would be welcome but unlikely. As for cutting costs i.e. services, this will only encourage more car usage which flies in the face of reducing carbon emmissions. If the Govt want a public transport system they need to pay if they do not then FGP at significant risk unfortunately. I do not believe govt will allow this and remain positive for the time being.

The Scottish Govt revealed the results of their surveillance survey today. Between end of April to the end of June. 4, 751 tested for of which 4.3% have had the virus. This means the morality rate just over 1%, this is similar to other studies. This virus is unfortunately here to stay for the foreseeable future.

Odx for me has potential, even post covid, POC testing is a growth area in many treatments as it cheap, reliable, quick and easy to use. For those who think Odx is not a good investment fair enough, do not invest, everyone does research and should know risk v reward
for a share and subsequent investment strategy, do what you feel comfortable with.
