Its for a logistics contract. What the product is one that satisfies the objective. The bottom line is what ODX produce will be bought, even now many still do not grasp the worldwide demand for products that are accurate, cost effective and easy to use. What people should take from this contract is the contract length. This is will be with us for sometime not months.

I think there will be positives and hope they outweigh the negatives, we will find out soon enough.

Afamaman agree it's has antigen focus. Antibody testing has a significant role as well. The Bmj article re antibody testing was informative and indicated the use of both tests as part of diagnosis process, due to the timing differences in detecting infection, as well epidemiology uses and at some point in future maybe passports. Also agree with your comment yesterday re theatres unfortunately! My view is collaboration is normally better than confrontation, you never know, complimentary business models. Also sure my initial ODX modest investment will be very fruitful hopefully the same for yourself.

Pyueck without these provisions and impairments we would take the hit when assets are sold. Now we might even make a profit on sale or minimal loss, as these items have already been reflected in P&L. The Greyhound business impairment was a result of changing valuation method and carrying value now is highly likely to reflect the actual value of the business when sold. Bit more cynical about the insurance provision as its due to a change in discount rate which could easily change next year! They also sorted a legacy pension issue in US if I recall. It's clearing the decks before a sale the so price relects carrying value in books, in theory! Without these adjustments the sale price would reflect them anyway when purchasers do due diligence. It's remains to be seen what the actual sale value will be l am hoping for a premium but we will see!

Pyueck good summary of position. Re the insurance provision which is now standing at £0.5 Bn by my estimate is not an insignificant sum. This however plus the greyhound impairments will make the sale of the US assets easier and will provide a higher sale price than most expect. Agree probably less than would have been achieved in March but suspect not a lot. We will have a clearer idea soon enough.

Ps I am invested and have been for a long time. You should not be going into a theatre with a negative antibody test! A misleading article in many ways.

Paul good question however not an easy one to answer. For me a lot depends on the amonut raised from any sale and what they intend to use proceeds for. Sale proceeds are likely to be used to pay down debt first. No debt is essential to ensure the remaining businesses can survive. It is highly likely that the rail support will be entended for all franchises to a similar extent. That said a 2% management fee whilst better than a loss is hardly going to set the SP alight. For remaining road services subsidies will continue for as long as it takes. By my estimates at best the SP will be in the 50p to 75p range after disposal. That said it depends on what they do with any surplus funds from sale. Capital investment in First bus is likely to take a chunk, the remaining balance could be returned to shareholders. A special dividend is the obvious way which could be substantial, however could be a hard sell when a very large proportion of revenues are coming from Govt. A share buyback could offer a solution and this could push SP higher maybe to a pound plus. This is all speculation and I await visability in next update. Paul sorry not really answered the question but I like many others have been in for years as an investor rather than trader. Puyeck is correct though, this share is not without risk but I personally think they will survive and may even provide a small profit on my investment. The question is when!

Interims not to bad small profit and order book stable. Cautious outlook but accept that. Pity SP not reacted well.

Afamaman agree the Lft salavia antigen is tricky. Unfortunately I do not think its the Odx/Mologic one they are talking about in the govt paper re mass antigen testing, only my view. Odx could certainly manufacture on behalf of others if they have capacity but suspect they will not have it as they will have their hands full with their own tests. Again we need to wait and see what develops.

Safy I was quoting RNS Re independent evaluation. The ease of use is seperate hurdle, this could be my interpretation! We will all find out soon enough in the coming weeks.

Afamaman agree with your instincts that ODX is a good investment. They have set out the plan for product development and increasing capacity and it is looking good so far. As DD says this is all well and good but we do need orders news to start flowing. Sales will determine the SP going forward although we may get a spike when RTC test approval given that may come down unless followed up by further orders. My view is that in 3 to 6 months we will be talking about capacity and new products (next generation) to maintain the SP momentum. There are risks, approval (accuracy) not given, competition, cost and ease of use. For me ODX have mitigated most risks as much as they can so happy with my investment. I intend to hold a proportion of my holding longer term as POC testing is a growth area and ODX l suspect have their eye on becoming a major player in this niche market in the coming years. We will see as the story unfolds and I may change my view re longer term but it's wait and see. Tried not to be too rampy.

They will be doing " further independent evaluation" as per RNS. This evaluation is likely to have been done in tandem so yes hopefully we get news sooner rather than later. Getting a test developed and approved in 6 months would be a significant achievement given it normally takes years.

Safy my understanding is that the RTC has done all that has been asked by the MHRA. The MHRA is having further independent validation done which is the only bit outstanding except the useability which is being done now. What independent validation means and who is doing it is outwith the control of ODX. They said in july RNS "coming months" for final approval so we are just waiting, frustrating I know, but this was always going to be a longer game than most appreciated.
