Gerry, I bet you don't think verizon was a fraud, I wish I had held my verizon shares longer, I think they have done well. So many people didn't understand the verizon deal, & of course it was a good deal for vod shareholders, but too complicated for some to understand, not a fraud.

Come on char, what happened to the me, spikey & you banter. your vod sp predictions are wild, but perhaps so are mine. I have my life savings in vod so my bullish predictions may be a bit extreme, but i'm biased. The problem is I & most others keep there political opinions to themselves, & i'm sure most of us don't think that everybody, governments, police,etc are 100% corrupt, if you believe that then fine, but your airing your extreme views on the wrong forum.

Char isn't just negative about vod, but about everything. Char says all governments are 100% corrupt! Sorry char, but you have a massive chip on your shoulder, why don't you take up politics yourself & see if you can do a better job?

Although I'm very bullish about vod shares I dont like the word nap, its a betting expression often used by newspaper horse race tipsters & is taken from the card game nap, (napolean) , & means go the for the lot! all 5 tricks.

charr, yeh. mid may before they go ex divi. Ok so it may just be wishful thanking, but with the absence of bullish brokers somebody has got to talk the share price up, joking of course.To be honest if the sp stays the same, as long the divi holds up where all making money.

Very difficult to get the closing sp, but i think its 235.30, good rise pm, & I think there is more to come. 2.40 soon then 2.50 before final ex divi day.

Spikey, I,m just envious, I'd love to have been celebrating in a wine bar in the city yesterday, after the ftsi 100 hit a record high. I just hope that the rise at the end holds up in the new year. So, happy new year to all vod shareholders.

Great finish, I think it was ftsi driven. Big rise in ftsi 100 in the last 1/2 hour, of course not wanting to put a damper on it, Perhaps the market should close even earlier before the new year, some may have started knocking them back a bit early. I guess the reason markets close early before the new year is to stop dutch courage style trading. But of course I still think the vod sp is undervalued, but I have had a couple of shandys!!?? I think 2.50 is a realistic short term target, lets say before final ex divi day.

S.P. up almost 10p since ex divi day, Not bad in less than a month. I'm surprised there havn't been any more upgrades, perhaps there thinking, if they leave it for a while investors might start to believe them, even char perhaps? Pigs might fly?! So char, usual stake, me 2.50. you, shall we say 2.16. 17 up or 17 down, whatever it hits 1st. Of course my big concern is the possibly overheated dow jones. Can it keep rising or will it fall. I think if it levels off, that could be good.

If what your saying is the sooner the bitcoin bubble bursts, the better, I 100% agree. The longer it takes, the more money will be lost. At any one moment in time the total money that's been paid for bitcoins on the markets will always be greater than the total amount received from bitcoin sales & as the price rises this gap will become greater,( Mathematical fact). You only make money on bitcoins when you sell them, so for the price to keep rising most people cant sell, & if you dont sell your loosing money. If a lot of people sell to make a profit,then the price falls,& anybody still left in there could loose big time. overall most will loose money. The greater fool theory is worth looking up on google.

So why would I, or anybody else want to give there hard earned money to people who live in Venezuela Zimbabwe or china. What are you on about??
