I know some may say I am trying to pump the vod sp, but I think we are going up to 1.50+++ soon, Wish full thinking of course, but? The vod sp is under priced? Come on? Even the mighty last call ??!! would agree with that??!! Lets face it, fair price for vod is about £2+ ish.

I thought the saying was, Sell in May, go away Don't come back until St legers day. (The horse race). I think the idea was brokers/ market makers etc would be sunning it on holiday & less likely to be into trading shares. The saying was long before modern global electronic stock markets, so can probably be ignored.

OFAH. Who said you are selling after ex divi? Not me. However why do you think the sp will rise approaching the ex divi date? I hope it does, but can see no logical reason for it to do so, unless many are buying just for the divi, but as I said, this is folly, as the divi comes straight out of the sp. Anyway I just hope the sp rises, short term or long term, so good luck. I need the price to get back to £2 + before I consider selling.

Why? Much of vods problems are driven by those who buy for the divi, thinking they can sell at a profit after collecting the divi on ex divi date. This is complete nonsense, if you sell after ex divi, then the sp falls by the amount of the divi. so you gain nothing. Why don't you get that? If you buy vod, do it because you believe in the company, & you think the sp will rise., & the divi can be covered, in the long run. You don't have to sell as soon as you get the divi.
